Today, Amazon released a notice on changes to Amazon US sales commissions and FBA fees in 2021: Amazon US will reissue the annual fee adjustment notice, and the new changes will officially take effect on June 1, 2021.

It is understood that the changes in Amazon's US site-related fees include three aspects:
Amazon said that in 2020, Amazon expanded the storage space of its entire distribution and logistics network by 50% , adding dozens of distribution stations and operation centers around the world. Amazon's US site will also re-issue the annual fee adjustment notice, and the new changes will officially take effect on June 1, 2021.
It is learned that with the changes in Amazon's related fees, generally speaking, most sales commissions will not change. Amazon will only make moderate adjustments to delivery costs , which are lower than or equal to the industry average.
The specific contents of the changes in Amazon's logistics fees in the United States are as follows:

As you can see, there are several key words in this fee change - "increase", "reduction" and "cancel".
Starting June 1, 2021, Amazon will increase delivery fees and Amazon Logistics labor processing fees, reduce or cancel return processing fees and packaging weight adjustments for some categories of goods, and increase removal and disposal fees based on the changing costs of the above services . For sellers, this series of changes will undoubtedly increase the cost of their operations. In the current epidemic situation, logistics costs and timeliness are already worrying. Now FBA's delivery fees and labor handling fees will also face increases, and sellers' profit margins will be squeezed again.

In addition, some sellers stated that at the beginning of the year, the FBA last-mile delivery fees for some categories on the US site had increased by 20%.

In addition to the changes in FBA logistics costs, Amazon also issued a notice on changes in sales commissions on the US site.
In 2021, the commission changes for some categories on Amazon US are as follows:
Amazon will separate appliances into full-size and compact categories2, reducing the fee for full-size appliances to 8% while keeping the fee for the compact category unchanged. Amazon will increase its sales commission on personal computers to 8% from 6% , bringing it in line with other electronic device categories. Amazon will add a 7% refill fee to new prescription pet food products to cover the cost of maintaining the veterinary confirmation process. This fee change does not apply to other pet food or supplies. Amazon will charge a Refurbished Program Fee for products sold through the Amazon Renewed program to cover the cost of providing additional services to sellers. Referral fees for all other categories will remain the same. Similar to the changes in FBA fees, the US site sales commission has also increased and decreased. For sellers of electrical appliances, the reduction of fees for full-size appliances to 8% is a big benefit; but for personal computer products, the increase in commission to 8% is undoubtedly bad news, making the sellers' already thin profits even worse.
At the same time, Amazon will charge additional fees for pet food and products in the Amazon Renovation Program, which will also increase the financial pressure on sellers. Currently, the sales commissions for other categories of goods will remain unchanged.
