It is reported that Amazon is testing a feature called "Manage Your Customer Engagement" , which allows brand sellers to send marketing emails to consumers who "follow" their brands and notify consumers when new products and discounts are available.

 

The news really surprised the sellers. As we all know, Amazon has always prohibited platform sellers from directly contacting buyers , and strictly keeps the sellers' email addresses and other data confidential, so usually, the communication between sellers and buyers is limited to issues such as order status.

Amazon updates its function, domestic delivery takes only 1-2 days


In addition to the above policies, Amazon recently announced that it has launched a new feature in the seller's shipping template, which allows sellers to deliver goods to nearby buyers faster according to the UK domestic standard shipping orders . With the help of the new feature, the domestic shipping time in the UK can now be shortened to 1-2 days. In addition, if the seller cannot promise a more efficient delivery service, the shipping time option of the new shipping rules can be changed at any time.


As we all know, in the fiercely competitive e-commerce market, logistics and distribution have always been a key focus for sellers. However, in the past two months, problems such as port congestion and container supply and demand have led to long first-mile logistics transportation time . Therefore, Amazon launched this function to shorten the last-mile delivery time .


According to the announcement, sellers who want to activate the new shipping rules and shorten the shipping time can do the following:

 

1. Log in to your Seller Central account and click Settings > Shipping Settings.

 

2. Click shipping templates and select the standard shipping template that enables faster shipping times.

Click on the Edit template. You will see the new shipping rule created with the faster shipping time option. Review and adjust the shipping time.

 

3. Then, Save the template.

 

If you are unable to promise faster shipping times to your buyers, you have two options:

 

1. Before May 10, 2021 , sellers can manually edit the standard shipping template to activate the new shipping rules and update the default shipping time.


2. After May 21, 2021 , sellers can edit the standard shipping template at any time and adjust the shipping time as needed.

 

In summary, although there are still many complicated problems plaguing sellers, the release of this series of welfare policies by Amazon is indeed a great comfort and encouragement to sellers who have been overworked recently.
