Air transport types

1. Based on the nature of air transport, air transport is generally divided into two categories: domestic air transport and international air transport.

2. Based on the object of air transport, it can be divided into three categories: air passenger transport, air passenger baggage transport and air cargo transport. What is more special is that air passenger baggage transport can be attached to air passenger transport, or it can be regarded as an independent transport process. Air mail transport is a special air cargo transport, which is generally given priority and is adjusted by the Postal Law and relevant administrative regulations, departmental regulations, etc., and is not regulated by relevant provisions of the Civil Aviation Law.

3. Charter transport. Charter transport refers to a form of transport in which civil aviation users charter the aircraft of a public air transport enterprise to carry passengers or cargo for a certain purpose. Its characteristics are that the charterer needs to sign a written charter transport contract with the carrier and use the civil aircraft independently in accordance with the charter contract during the validity period of the contract. The charterer does not necessarily directly participate in air transport activities.
