What is Ahrefs? Ahrefs Review

Common functions


UR (URL Page Rating): Ahrefs measures the weight of a URL on a scale of 1-100. The higher the URL Rating, the more likely the URL is to be ranked higher and the more trustworthy the site is.


DR (Domain Rating): Ahrefs measures the weight of a domain, from 1 to 100. The higher the value of Domain Rating, the greater the quality and quantity of external links to its own site, and the higher the weight or ranking of the domain is likely to be.


Ahrefs Rank: Ahrefs’ rating of a domain. This metric is based on the number of backlinks to your query. The more backlinks a domain has, the higher its rank will be on Ahrefs.


Backlinks (the total number of backlinks to a URL or domain): The more backlinks you have, the higher the index.


Referring Page: The number of pages that have hyperlinks pointing to a URL or domain name. A page can have multiple links.


Referring Domains: The number of unique domains that have hyperlinks pointing to a URL or domain name. A domain can have multiple referring pages and backlinks. This is different from Backlinks. Backlink refers to the number of all external links, while Referring counts related websites and deduplicates multiple external links under the same domain name.


Referring Content: Ahrefs measures the relative amount of traffic a unique piece of content sends to a given URL based on the popularity of the referring content.


Anchors (anchor text of external links): keywords of website external links.


Sitewide / Not Sitewide: Ahrefs categorizes the link, showing where it is located on every page of the referring domain.


Fresh Index/Live Index: Live Index – contains all “live” links; Fresh Index – contains all links that Ahrefs has crawled in the past 3 months (including those that have “died” in the most recent re-crawling).


Organic keywords: The total number of organic search keywords. All keywords that rank in the top 100 on Google will be counted, and the ranking of keywords in all countries will be counted.


Organic traffic: Ahrefs estimates the amount of traffic your site gets from Google searches based on your keyword ranking and keyword index. This is the monthly traffic from all countries around the world.


Traffic value: This is an estimate of the cost of converting all natural search traffic into bid clicks. For example, if you have a certain word ranked first on Google, and if you use Google Ads for this word, the price is 10 yuan per click, what is the click-through rate? This series of conversions can be used to calculate the cost of bidding for all the words on your website.

1. Alerts


This tool is generally called an "alarm". Once the conditions you set are triggered, the system will automatically send you an email notification. There are three triggers that can be set: Backlinks, New Keywords, and Mentions.


2. Site explorer


The Site Explorer tool will give a comprehensive physical examination report of a website, from content to external links, to search traffic and rankings.


3. Content explorer


In today’s world where content is king, it is crucial to find good topics. Find out all the existing popular content, study their commonalities, understand user psychology and needs, and then write content with better user experience, or even find new detonating points and become famous in one fell swoop. Use the Content Explorer tool to enter your topic keywords, such as Google SEO, in the input box. Of course, you can also filter the results by selecting "in title", "in url" and other conditions.


4. Keywords explorer
