Amazon sells more than 100 orders a day! Halloween products are booming!

Normal, once there is data abnormality, such as sales are falling, conversion rate is abnormal, flow is 0, etc., we need to deal with it in time. Regarding data analysis, we will mainly analyze store traffic data, sales data and advertising data. Through these data, we can observe whether today's sales have increased or decreased. If there is a problem, we can accurately know which link has the problem and make reasonable adjustments.

Recently , a Halloween product has been listed on BSR, and even sold more than 100 orders a day! ! ! !

This is a typical Tiktok traffic-first ghost dog walking product! The related videos have been played over 100 million times on Tiktok.

The reason why Tiktok became popular is that the offline American chain store Marshalls was selling this kind of Q-version Halloween product, so it was posted online by customers, which temporarily attracted traffic.

After seeing this product, I just want to say it is so cute! The cute design can definitely arouse the desire to buy, not to mention that it is a seasonal product like Halloween!

Regarding product selection, many people have questions: Why can’t we select good products even after using expensive product selection software?

Product selection and product development are not equal to software, differentiation, or factory. Product selection is a complete chain of product market selection, product differentiation and pain point solution mining, and deep coordination of the supply chain. The greatest role of product selection software for us is to mine data with the highest efficiency in the shortest time, allowing you to see places that the naked eye cannot see.

0 1
The role of product selection software (using SellerSprite as a template for demonstration)

1. Quickly and intuitively see basic data such as sales data, shelf time, etc.

2. Big data analysis and comparison. This kind of analysis of the entire category is clear and concise. It can clearly compare competition analysis, market capacity analysis, monopoly, review levels, etc., saving time and effort and improving efficiency.

3. Use related functions to help you find product data based on your own product selection logic.

For example, you find a product in a certain category that seems to have great potential, but the competition is fierce and the profit margin is not large. At this time, you should consider whether to give up it and look for other products with more advantages. Choosing the right product can not only save a lot of time, but also make you stand out in the market.

At this point, some friends may ask: "How do you know which product is the focus?" This requires you to spend more time on market research to see which products have high demand and relatively low competition. Read more customer reviews to understand their needs and pain points, which are important bases for you to choose key products.

In general, the software is not comprehensive. It requires you to have your own underlying logic for product selection, your own supply chain analysis, and your own experience and judgment.

In the process of product selection, we must grasp the research and certification of products

The first step is to discover needs. User needs come first, whether they are real needs or fake needs. Our essence is to put aside product features and find real needs according to the first principles. Refer to the following three ideas:

1. Find needs in the nodes on the site: Find new products and BS lists together, open each node and look carefully, for example, for the baby node, I will look through all the second and third level categories of the baby node, and check whether there are any on the BS list in combination with these NR list products. If there are on the BS list, I will think about this demand, what the competitor does right, and what micro-innovation I can make. If it is not on the BS list, think about whether this is a new demand point, what simple operation I can do to quickly occupy the market, price advantage? Functional advantage?

2. Search for products by keywords: look for some new words, think about the essential needs of this word, whether it is possible to migrate with old products and directly sell them at a higher price. At the same time, think about some small words under some large categories. For example, the material keyword muslin will correspond to many products, and you can find products based on the small words.

3. Migration to other platforms: For example, go to Instagram and TikTok to find some popular product videos to watch, and watch them with product thinking, because each video will have a corresponding link, first of all, products that you don’t understand, product data, comments and likes, videos that have exceeded a certain value + products with few comments + nodes that no one pays attention to. Because the comment area is essentially a re-verification of needs, although there are some false needs, watching this product with user thinking will definitely be rewarding.

The second step is to conduct a rough research on product selection. The research here basically includes the following dimensions:

1. Product profit margin: Calculate the approximate product profit margin based on the supply chain quotation of 1688 (without a ready-made supply chain). In the initial stage, we will generally choose products with a net profit of more than 40%. Product advertising costs are not included in this process. There is a difficulty here. Many products do not have a ready-made supply chain. We need to use the migration capability to find a supply chain to replace it, inquire with the approximate demand, and confirm the time and cost of differentiated modification.

2. Check the friendliness of new products to confirm whether there are new products entering the market at this node and whether micro-innovation differentiation can be achieved.

3. Look at the patents, take a general look at the patent situation, and screen out some risk points in the early stage

4. Look at the CPC bidding of the main keywords. If the bidding is too high, the input-output ratio will not be high.

5. Check product keyword trends. You can use SellerSprite and Product Detector to confirm product trends.

The third step is to conduct detailed product research.

1. Competitive product analysis and product demand confirmation: Classify all the products of various categories under this demand on the BS list, and make a detailed analysis of the first ten pages of comments under the main keywords of different categories to determine the points of differentiation. At the same time, you can have a more detailed grasp of user needs.

2. Look at the patent and review it again to confirm the appearance and trademark patent.

3. Confirm the product cycle and seasonality . Check Google Trends & keyword trends to confirm the seasonality of the product, and make it clear whether you can enter the market now and whether the demand has a long-term increasing trend.

4. Look at the market capacity. According to the ABA ranking, look at the size of the market demand and determine whether there is a monopoly. At the same time, identify the competing products at each stage and estimate the target sales volume.

5. Look at the strength of competitors and sellers, such as how many vertical links the top products have.

Of course, 3, 4, and 5 above can be studied in rough research, but I think the steps of rough research basically show whether the product can be included in the market. 2, 3, 4, and 5 in the rough research belong to the review and refinement of the above data, and are not the main confirmation factors. The purpose of conducting rough research on the product in the early stage is to effectively save time.

In addition to the above steps, there are several key points to note:

1. Product categories:
clothing/3c/categories not allowed for Chinese sellers/categories with CPC greater than 2 for a long time
2. Product unit price: above 20-30 USD, remove advertisements, and follow the lowest price of similar products, with gross profit margin within 35%
3. The modification time + production cycle should not be too long. The longest production cycle is 30 days.
4. Initial investment: less than 30,000 yuan per item
5. Differentiation is possible, and the mold cost is less than 3,000.
