In August this year, Amazon piloted a new plan, stating that it would use AI functions to generate richer product information, that is, automatically modify sellers’ listings. At that time, a group of sellers had already been affected. Unexpectedly, it started again recently, and I’m afraid it will become the norm in the future. According to sellers’ feedback, Amazon has recently started to remind sellers to modify their listings . If sellers do not agree or refuse in a timely manner, Amazon will modify the listings by default and publish them automatically. We are launching a new program that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to generate richer product information. For products in your brand catalog, we recommend that you change something in your product information. …We ask that you review the AI-generated rich product descriptions and provide feedback (agree or disagree) by the scheduled release date {feedback_due_date}. If you tell us that you disagree with the suggested update, we will keep the existing content and will not publish the suggested update. This is also a large-scale reminder. The vast majority of sellers have received the effective date of the corresponding listing. Sellers need to take action before the deadline , otherwise Amazon will help you replace the AI-generated content and automatically publish it after the feedback deadline expires. However, sellers still have control over published changes, and after the deadline, sellers can contact support to make any changes. To review a proposed listing update, sellers must: 1. Click the link or yellow button in the email in the Amazon normal network environment . 2. Go to the Review Product Updates page and download the Excel file containing the recommended changes - this is the Download for Review button. 3. After downloading, you will get a file named Catalog_Update_202x-0x-0x. 4. The file will contain [Instructions] and [Data to be reviewed]. We can see the ASIN attributes, current values, and system recommended values in the [Data to be reviewed] table. We need to carefully check whether the changes recommended by the system are reasonable. In the [Feedback] column, sellers can choose "Agree" or "Disagree". 5. If you choose to disagree, provide the reason for disagreement and fill in the correct value in [ Other Suggested Values ] . Note 1. You cannot fill in [Feedback Reason ] , otherwise an error will occur. Note 2. The reason needs to be filled in the [Other Details] column next to it. 9. After completing the form, upload the form feedback on the [Review Product Information Update] page. 10. After uploading, just wait for review, as shown below: It should be noted that [Review Product Information Updates] does not provide an option to join or exit this service. Amazon hopes to adjust listings through artificial intelligence to achieve better sales results, but AI may not have an advantage over sellers who have spent a lot of time studying wording and sentence structure. AI-generated content may be more in line with Amazon's requirements, but it may not be in line with the platform's algorithms. Especially for mature products that have been running for many years, interfering with it may affect the weight of the listing and order performance. Therefore, it is necessary for sellers to review the information one by one and process it as soon as possible to avoid erroneous changes to the listing. |
