KYC is a very troublesome issue. Now when registering for Amazon Europe, passing the first review directly triggers the KYC review. After encountering KYC, sellers are panicked and have no idea how to solve it. Even if they provide the information according to the requirements in the Amazon email, the pass rate is not very high.

Before April, it was relatively simple to register on Amazon Europe, and the audit requirements were even lower than those on the North American site. When the European site reaches 15,000 euros, it will inevitably trigger KYC, which is a hard standard. It is understandable that the first review of the store is relatively loose. But in the current situation, it is better to kill a thousand people than to let one go.

Therefore, many new sellers ask me how to solve the problem of Amazon Europe being frozen? How to pass KYC? The solution I give is relatively uniform: just give up. The reason I say this is mainly because of the following reasons:

First, it is more troublesome to pass KYC. You need to provide a scanned copy of the business license, the front and back of the legal person's ID card plus the personal page of the household registration book, the legal person's credit card bill, the public bank bill, and the company's water and electricity bill. In fact, if it is a real business license, it is not difficult to issue these materials - with real bills, the chance of passing KYC is still very high.

The key is that many sellers' business licenses do not meet the requirements for registering on Amazon Europe. Either the business license is newly registered, or it is affiliated, or the legal person is their parents, etc. There are so many problems that it is impossible to list them one by one. In short, the bills cannot be issued. Without real bills, the chances of passing KYC are very low. Let's talk about how to quickly pass the European KYC audit ?

KYC (Know Your Customer) is simply the examination and filing of account holders' conditions (identity verification of European platform sellers), which is the institutional basis for preventing corruption and anti-money laundering internationally. According to the requirements of relevant European regulatory agencies, Amazon needs to conduct company and company owner identity verification (KYC verification) for sellers who open stores on European platforms (including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, etc.). Sellers can only sell on European platforms after being reviewed and approved by Amazon's European verification team.

The so-called KYC policy refers to the enhanced review of account holders, requiring financial institutions to implement a real-name account system, understand the actual controller of the account and the actual beneficiary of the transaction, and also require a full understanding of the customer's identity and permanent address.

For European accounts, KYC review is a necessary step for the account. Generally speaking, it is recommended that you prepare for KYC review at the beginning of account registration. After all, only when the account passes the review can we feel at ease to show our strength on the platform!

Generally speaking, sellers are required to undergo an audit when their cumulative sales amount reaches 5,000 euros or more. Here, it is recommended that you complete the audit when the cumulative sales amount reaches 15,000 euros, otherwise you may be at risk of being blocked.

In my opinion, the key points of KYC audit are three aspects:

1. The number of main beneficiaries filled in the background

2. Primary contact address

3. Bills: Individuals and Companies

Why these three points? Because they are the core of all the materials you need to prepare.

First of all, the company beneficiaries involve the issue of company share distribution. Beneficiaries refer to natural persons or legal persons who hold shares equal to or greater than 25% in the company. If there are several beneficiaries, you need to provide information on several people.

Secondly, the address of the main contact person is related to the issue of personal expense bills. The address on the bill must be consistent with the contact address filled in the Amazon backend.

Third, company bills and personal bills. For company bills, Amazon requires the company's public account bills. If you have one, you can provide it directly. If you don't have a public account, don't worry, the bill of the collection account will also be fine, which is what we often call a P card bill. You must pay attention to both of the above two types. The company's address must be on the bill. For personal bills, credit card bills are recommended. If you don't have one, personal savings card bills are also ok. What to do if there is no address? Ask the bank to handle a change of address service~

There is another point that needs to be explained to you, which is the difference between whether the company name should be in pinyin, and the issue of Co., Ltd. and youxiangongsi. In fact, both are OK. Sometimes the KYC team also has inconsistent standards. Normally, as long as the company name on the Amazon backend is consistent with the business license and the P card bill, it is OK. But sometimes they will find fault with you, and say "trading" for "trading" is not OK! You have to use "shangmao" and they will force you to change it. So there is nothing you can do when you encounter this. In order to avoid this kind of dilemma, it is recommended that you use pinyin when registering, whether it is the company name or the company address.

It mainly refers to the company's business license. Amazon sellers must provide a complete high-definition color photo scan of the original company business license.

2. Primary Contact and Beneficiary

Provide the primary contact person and beneficiary's ID, which is the front and back of their passport or ID card.

3. Company expense bill

Amazon sellers need to provide the company's expense bills, including water/electricity/gas bills, landline/mobile phone bills, Internet bills, tax/insurance/social security bills, bank statements, etc. At the same time, the bill must be issued within 90 days and issued by a public utility. In addition, the company name on the bill must be consistent with the legal name of the company registered with Amazon, and the address on the bill must be the same as the business license or actual operating address. If the bill is in the name of the landlord, a formal housing lease contract certificate must be provided.

4. Primary contact and beneficiary General expense bill

Sellers need to provide the primary contact and beneficiary's daily expense bills, including water/electricity/gas bills, landline/mobile phone bills, Internet bills, tax/social security bills, personal credit card bills, etc. At the same time, the fees and invoice dates must be within 90 days and issued by a formal institution. The bills must include the name and current detailed residential address of the primary contact. If the above bills cannot be provided, you can try to provide a personal temporary residence permit or temporary residence permit.

5. Corporate bank account statement

Provide a public account license (valid for 1 year) or a public bank statement. The public bank account can be different from the Amazon payment account, but the public bank statement must contain a clear company name, bank name or logo, and the statement must be issued within 6 months. The public bank statement must be a scanned copy of a paper statement.

6. Beneficiary’s overseas bank account

Amazon sellers are advised to provide the company’s public account or the personal account of the company’s beneficiary as the payment account.

7. Authorization letter

If the primary contact is not the legal person or beneficiary of the company, the Amazon seller needs to provide an authorization letter (the legal person of the company authorizes the primary contact to actually operate the account).

1. Organize the information required for KYC review into a PDF file and send it to the sales manager for preliminary review. After the review is passed, fill in the information according to Amazon's requirements; the legal person's ID card and the legal person's information page of the household registration booklet also need to be edited into Word to produce a PDF document. Both the front and back of the ID card need to be provided.

2. When filling in the company name, it is recommended to use Chinese pinyin to ensure accuracy. For Hong Kong companies, fill in the English name of the company in the registration certificate;

3. Fill in the company's beneficiaries truthfully and submit the corresponding personal bills and other information. Be more cautious when submitting company information with more than 3 shareholders;

4. Ensure the KYC audit information is authentic and do not include any PS;

5. The review process usually takes 3 to 5 days, but it may be extended depending on the circumstances.

6. About the Articles of Association: The Articles of Association must include the percentage of each shareholder, as well as the handwritten signatures of each shareholder and the company seal. You can download a template, edit the relevant information, sign your name, and stamp it.

Articles of Association is a document that needs to be prepared before registering a company. The company usually has this document. If not, you can download the template, edit it, sign it and stamp it.

You can also contact the Industrial and Commercial Bureau or Market Supervision Administration to inquire about a copy of the company's articles of association. The Supervision Administration will generally have an archive.

When preparing the charter, scan or take photos of all the pages and edit them into Word to generate a PDF document.

7. Bank certificate, such as the one submitted by P card or Lianlian payment will do.

8. Although you are asked to upload a copy of your business license, some people are directly approved without submitting a notarized copy of their business license. However, some people fail to pass the notarization of their business license copies. It is possible that the photo is not clear.

9. Business license notarization: This material must be very clear, especially the notarization seal and the text on the notarization page (we notarized in both Chinese and English, but I only provided the Chinese page because the translation of the English page address is different.) So remember, the notarization seal and the markings on the notarization page must be displayed. Scanning may be difficult. I have tried to scan the material, and the seal and marking features cannot be displayed.

12. The beneficiary's billing address must be the same as the one filled in the backend. I used the credit card bill of China Merchants Bank and asked the bank to help change the address.
