Amazon Vine plan has a major update in 2025, and sellers will lose if they miss it!

As a "new product magic tool" in the Amazon seller circle, the Vine program has always been a powerful tool for quickly obtaining reviews and cold starts.

Recently, Amazon has made a series of major updates to the Vine program, not only making the policy more flexible, but also introducing a number of preferential policies.

Today, I will take you through a detailed interpretation of the highlights of this update. Especially for sellers who have new product plans in 2024, you must read this wave of new regulations carefully!

New changes to the four major Vine plans

1. Vine program is fully open, no brand registration required

In the past, only "brand owners" who had completed brand registration could participate in the Vine program, but from March 2024 , this restriction will be completely lifted!

Policy highlights:

Regardless of whether you have brand registration or not, sellers can directly register to participate in the Vine program, which is a huge benefit for small sellers, especially newcomers.

Applicable sites include: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan and other mainstream markets.

2. Added Australian sites to further expand coverage

From September 2024, the Australian site will officially join the Vine program, but it is currently only open to brand owners. This means that the coverage of the Vine program will be wider in the future, providing more growth opportunities for cross-border sellers.

3. The registration fee is 25% off, the official is really giving profit!

Starting from September 15, 2024, sellers who join the FBA New Selection Program can enjoy a 25% discount on the Vine program registration fee.

Original price: $75, discounted to only $56.25!

A maximum of 10 products can be registered per parent ASIN.

Registration time requirement: Complete Vine registration within 5-60 days after the first entry into the warehouse.

Applicable sites:

United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, Canada (effective from December 17, 2024).

⚠ Note: If you have already used the $200 Vine fee discount in the "New Member Gift Pack", you cannot enjoy this 25% discount in combination.

4. The registration level is more flexible and can be upgraded within 30 days

In the past, Vine program registration tiers were fixed and could not be changed. After this policy update, starting from December 2024 , sellers can adjust their tiers within 30 days after registration.

Specific changes:

Sellers can flexibly upgrade from the "free tier" (2 items) or "low-price tier" (3-10 items) to a higher tier.

Enjoy higher review acquisition efficiency after upgrading.

Note:

Once the gear is upgraded, it cannot be downgraded. It is recommended to choose a low gear to test the waters in the initial stage.

The registration period is 90 days, and adjustments can be made if the collection is not completed within 30 days.

If the product does not receive any reviews within 90 days, no fees will be charged.

Which sellers benefit the most from this wave of updates?

Novice sellers: New product sellers joining FBA can obtain reviews at low cost through preferential policies and quickly enter a virtuous circle.

Sellers with multi-site layout: The expansion of the Australian site and new discount sites provide more support for multi-site operations.

Sellers with high-quality products but no reviews: By upgrading their rank, they can quickly obtain high-quality reviews and improve the conversion rate of their listings.

Little-known facts about the Vine project: Are you really using it correctly?

1. Factors affecting the speed of receiving payment

The speed of receiving Vine plans is closely related to the audience, pricing, and push strategy of the product itself:

Audience matching: Products with strong demand (such as household and kitchen supplies) have a wide audience and are quickly available for delivery; whereas unpopular products may take longer to deliver.

Price impact: Although the reviewer receives the product for free, they need to bear certain taxes (usually 35% of the selling price). Therefore, the higher the selling price, the slower the delivery speed.

Suggestion: Set reasonable prices, and even use pricing discounts to attract target users and speed up the collection process.

2. Vine plan push mechanism

Internal referral stage: After signing up for Vine, Amazon will prioritize pushing the product to a small group of target users, who are usually high-match reviewers selected based on data.

Public promotion stage: After about 20 days, the product enters a wider public promotion period. The speed of collection is closely related to the product price: below US$10: collection can be completed in 1-4 days at the fastest.

10-20 USD: It will enter the public promotion stage in about 10-20 days.

Above USD 20: It may take more than 20 days for the public launch to begin.

3. Practical advice for beginners

Keep the product on sale: The Vine program is only for saleable products, and you cannot claim them if they are out of sale.

Give priority to mid- and low-priced tiers: Get feedback from free or low-priced tiers and consider upgrading later.

Reasonable pricing strategy: Low-priced products not only allow for quick delivery, but also increase the probability of high-quality reviews. The recommended pricing is 20% lower than the normal selling price.

Prepare materials in advance: Optimize the detail page and visual materials in advance to increase the possibility of reviewers giving positive reviews.

What does this wave of updates mean?

The latest policy of the Vine program not only brings greater convenience to sellers in terms of registration scope and discount strength, but also helps sellers use their budgets more efficiently through flexible gear design.
If you have plans for new products, don't miss this window of opportunity and make good use of policy dividends to lay the foundation for your product's launch.

However, remember one thing: the Vine program is just a tool, and the competitiveness of the product itself is the key. Only by rationally planning the evaluation strategy can you stand out from the competition!
