Breaking news! China Post will suspend the collection and delivery of all ordinary small parcel mails from March 26

Amazon first restricted third-party sellers in the European and American markets from building warehouses and shipping on March 17, and then completely stopped FBA orders for non-essential consumers in Italy and France on March 22. Amazon then announced that FBA shipments were greatly delayed.

As of now, many countries including Russia, Turkey, Iraq, Ukraine, Kenya, Nigeria, Angola, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Morocco and others have announced the suspension of international flights or the closure of international airports.

Warehouses refusing to accept goods, large-scale flight suspensions, and rising logistics prices, these news during the epidemic are undoubtedly bombshells for sellers.

However, such news came one after another...

China Post suspends all small parcel mail

eBay issued a statement at noon today, saying that it had received a notice from China Post:

Due to the further spread of the epidemic, international air transport capacity continues to decrease. In response to the current severe situation, China Post has decided to stop accepting and sending all ordinary small parcel mail from e-commerce platforms from 0:00 on March 26 .

Sellers are requested to make corresponding preparations and stop using the logistics delivery method of postal parcels .

And eBay gave sellers some advice:

1) Sellers should use SpeedPAK logistics solutions whenever possible. Transactions using SpeedPAK will be protected by eBay policies.

2) If the seller uses other logistics, please ensure that they use logistics solutions that operate normally and have guaranteed logistics timeliness.

3) In destination countries where SpeedPAK service is not yet available, if you are not confident in other logistics guarantees, you can temporarily open the store for holiday mode to avoid unnecessary operational risks and losses.

E-mail in Fujian Province stops accepting parcels

Yesterday, sellers in Xiamen received a notice that Postal E-Packet had stopped accepting parcels. Then sellers in Jinjiang also received a notice that E-Packet had also stopped accepting parcels.

It is reported that e-Post currently only provides services to customers with super large capacity, with a limited number of items per day, and other items will not be accepted .

Although it is currently only applicable in Fujian, everyone should be prepared for this policy to radiate to the whole country.

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, as the prevention and control situation has become increasingly severe, countries have upgraded their prevention and control measures. More and more airlines around the world have also reduced the number of flights, and more and more countries have begun to implement flight suspension policies. The obstruction of logistics is undoubtedly a wake-up call for cross-border sellers.

Is there any industry that is worse off than foreign trade in 2020?
