After browsing the Zhiwubuyu website for a whole year, what I feel most is widespread misery and helpless self-consolation. To be honest, my sales and profits on Amazon this year are also the worst. But life needs to go on, and being able to make yourself happy is also a kind of ability . Today I want to share some things that made me very happy in 2023, and I hope it will be a little inspiration for your life. In 2023, I made a lot of changes. I started to integrate into society more actively. I participated in many interesting activities, and then I felt like my life was really a little different. The activities I participated in included couple dances, small parties, board games (Wealth Flow, Avalon, Nana, Bull King, The Departed, Sinister Voyage, The Assassination of the Sultan, Li Zhihui, and The Wind, which I can think of for now^-^), urban exploration scripts, multiplayer Frisbee sports, cat and mouse games...
Today I want to share my experience of the duet dance event I participated in. The more popular couple dances now include: swing dance (lindyhop, balboa, Charleston), blues, tango, fusion (fusion dance) One day, when I was choosing activities on XX, I saw an introduction to swing dancing. There was no basic knowledge required, but there was a basic tutorial, and you could dance swing dancing with all your friends all night long (until 1 a.m.). I was very excited at the time (probably because I had read a science fiction book called " Flowers for Algernon " in which there was a very special character who only did three things in her life: painting, X, and dancing). I really wanted to give it a try because I had never danced before (I had only participated in African dance experience classes).
Then that night I specially made a main dish (fried potato chips with shrimps) and ate it very full, because I thought that dancing all night would definitely make me very tired.
I arrived very early (40 minutes before the event) and kept chatting with the host (my characteristic is that when I think someone is interesting, I like to keep talking to him)
Then we started the class. The teacher explained some theoretical basics and taught some basic dance steps.
Some words that left a deep impression on me:
1. Couple dance is a way for people to communicate and cooperate with each other 2. Two people can perform a duet dance even if they have no basic skills. They just need to imitate each other, feel each other's rhythm, and then keep the same frequency.
3. Dancing is a kind of response people make to music. For example, for slow music, we can step left and right at a low frequency. For fast-paced music, we can step at a high frequency. For happy music, we can dance. Then we started to teach simple dance steps (there is a leader and a follower in the dance). Most of the steps are two steps forward, two steps back, and left and right steps. The leader can do any movements and the followers can cooperate. There were more than 20 people participating in the event (including some foreigners) that night, half of them were men and half were women. I basically danced with everyone. I would like to share some interesting moments of dancing with several people. 1. I was dancing with a partner, and I said, " You see, we've been doing these steps for so many times, let's try something different. You must have seen Scent of a Woman, there's a dance in it, at the end of the dance there's a move where the girl falls down and the boy helps her up, you must remember it, I think it's a classic, why don't we try it? "
She was a little worried at first (because we hadn't practiced), so we did a simple dance for a while, and when the dance was over, I had to change people, and I forgot to do the previous
Then she suddenly said to me, we haven't tried that move yet, and I smiled, and then she said, "Are you sure you can catch me?"
I said, don’t worry, I exercise regularly, hahahaha…
2. I danced tango with another partner for a while, and then I said, " Didn't the teacher just say that girls (followers) can even close their eyes when dancing tango? Let's practice it. " She started to get a little worried, so I said, it's okay, we can start with simple coordination and then move on to the step of closing the eyes.
When she closed her eyes, I told her that she only needed to feel the push and pull of my hands to know which direction I wanted her to move. (In tango, men and women hold hands, and the other hand is placed on the woman's waist and the woman's back.) Then the closed-eye dance went very smoothly, and I found it really interesting.
Then when I am dancing, I will often communicate with my dance partner, for example, asking: What kind of dance have you danced before, can you feel the rhythm of the music and keep your steps in the same rhythm, can we try not looking at our steps while dancing, but just looking into each other's eyes? Well, these are some of my experiences in learning couple dancing. I feel quite happy about it. When I have time, I will share more experiences of the activities with you.
In fact, I always feel that sometimes a person’s loneliness or “isolation from the world” is not due to his occupation, but rather to whether he understands life and whether he can better integrate into this interesting era. Okay, this is my simple sharing today. If you have any interesting activities or moments in 2023, you can also share them together to make everyone happy^-^ |
