U.S. Customs seizes over $4.55 million worth of counterfeit goods! Most of them come from China!

It is learned that according to foreign media reports, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials recently seized two batches of goods from China at the express shipping center in Louisville.

It is reported that on March 8, CBP officials seized a total of 29 Rolex watches, 2 Hublot watches, 2 Breitling watches, 1 TAG Heuer watch and 3 Omega watches. After identification, these watches were all fakes. If they were real, they would be worth more than 1.11 million US dollars.

On the next morning, March 9, CBP officers seized two more packages. One package contained 1,034 pieces of fake jewelry with a market value of more than $1.19 million. It contained 554 Tommy Hilfiger necklaces, 60 Rolex bracelets and rings, 60 Bulgari bracelets and rings, 60 Louis Vuitton bracelets and rings, 60 Cartier bracelets and rings, 60 Versace bracelets and rings, 60 Hermes bracelets and rings, and 120 Gucci bracelets and rings. The other package contained only one Richard Miller watch, but its market value was more than $2.25 million.

The report said that the watches seized on March 8 were shipped from Hong Kong, China, and the recipient was a residence in Ontario, Canada. The jewelry seized on March 9 was also shipped from Hong Kong, China, and the recipient was a company in Miami. In addition, the Richard Miller watches shipped from the United Arab Emirates were shipped to a residence in California.

CBP has a total of 328 checkpoints in the U.S. CBP has been conducting routine inspections on arriving and departing international flights to intercept narcotics, weapons, currency, prohibited agricultural products, counterfeit goods and other illegal items.

As we can see, with the rapid development of e-commerce, the US government's crackdown on counterfeit goods has become increasingly severe. Here, we would like to remind all sellers that selling genuine products is the safest choice, because counterfeit products will not only harm the interests of others, but also cause losses to sellers (if they are found by customs).
