More than 100,000 children's products were recalled! Involving Amazon, Walmart and other platforms!

It is learned that according to foreign media reports, on September 29, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of Toddleroo child safety locks sold at Walmart, BuyBuyBaby and other websites. The reason for the recall is that the locks may fall off the cabinets, and if young children accidentally ingest them, it may easily cause suffocation.

The recalled locks are white, made of plastic, and sold in packs of 4. The lock has the brand "North States" printed in the middle, the model "6178" is printed in the upper left corner of the product packaging, and the UPC number (0-26107-06178-2 or 0-26107-06177-5) is printed in the lower left corner of the product packaging.

It is learned that the lock is made in China and was sold at Walmart, BuyBuyBaby and other stores nationwide, as well as shopping websites including NorthStatesInd and Amazon from November 2019 to August 2022. The price range is between $5 and $10, and about 103,000 pieces were sold. At present, North States Industries has received 19 reports of the lock falling off or being swallowed by a child, including 1 report of accidental ingestion by a child.

Also on September 29, CPSC announced the recall of BE Jewel Accessories children's hairpins sold in major stores in the United States. The reason for the recall is that the crystals on the hairpins contain excessive lead, which can cause poisoning and other health hazards if ingested by young children.

The fronts of the clips are covered in white and colored crystals of various sizes. The clips are sold in clear plastic bags, two per bag. The words "Accessory" and "Made in China" are printed on the white card of the plastic bag.

The hair clips were reportedly sold in various stores in the United States from May 2019 to July 2022, priced between $1 and $3, with approximately 1,200 sold. The CPSC has not received any incident reports regarding the product.

After issuing the emergency recall order, CPSC recommends that buyers immediately stop using the above two children's products and urges consumers not to purchase them. At the same time, buyers need to contact the distributor to obtain a refund.
