AMZ23 has learned that both Walmart and Target are offering some deals that are more enticing than Amazon Prime Day in an attempt to steal traffic from Amazon during Prime Days . As summer arrives, Amazon’s Prime Days are set to become the biggest mid-year sale of the year. Amazon has held its summer sales event every year since 2015, and since its launch, the duration of the sale has been extended from one day to two days. Amazon's competitors, Walmart and Target, are not to be outdone. Not only have they held big promotions to grab Amazon's traffic, but the duration of the promotions is even longer than Amazon's Prime Days.
While everyone loves deals, not everyone is willing to sign up for a membership to get those deals. Currently, Amazon Prime membership costs $139 per year or $14.99 per month. Walmart+ Week will run from July 6 to July 13. While Walmart+ members can enjoy early access to deals, all promotional offers will be available to the public. Walmart+ is a membership that costs less than Amazon Prime at just $98 per year, or $13 per month. Prime Days is a members-only event that this year takes place on July 11 and 12. It has introduced some special deals on Amazon products such as Amazon Kindle, Fire TV, Ring cameras and Ring doorbells to Prime members. According to NJ.com, Walmart+ offers free grocery delivery, no minimum shipping order, fuel discounts, free streaming on Paramount+, and the convenience of Scan and Go shopping and checkout on the app. Target more than doubles its salesTarget has brought back Target Circle Days from July 9 to July 15, giving Target shoppers a longer window of time to enjoy the deals than Walmart + Week and Amazon Prime Day shoppers did. The longer sale window gives shoppers more time to compare deals and get the best possible price. Target Circle Week deals are exclusively for Target Circle members. Target Circle is a free-to-join loyalty program that gives shoppers access to deals, so the week-long summer deals are open to everyone, regardless of when they signed up for Target Circle. Target brands include Sun Squad, Good & Gather and Cat & Jack with discounts of up to 50 percent off. “Target Circle Week is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to our guests," said Cara Sylvester, executive vice president and chief guest experience officer at Target. "Guests have saved millions of dollars during previous Target Circle Weeks, and this summer they’ll have another opportunity to celebrate that feeling of affordable happiness only at Target.” Target is releasing some hot deals for Target Deal Days. Target Circle members can enjoy up to 50% off select Sun Squad items, as well as 30% off select children's apparel. Shoppers can receive a $10 Target gift card when they spend $40 or more on beauty and wellness products. With the new Barbie movie coming out here, guests can also enjoy 20% off all Barbie products. One thing the three rival retailers unapologetically agreed on was cost savings. Amazon Prime Days is only available to Amazon Prime members, and the only way around it is to get the deal from a friend who has a Prime membership. Shoppers can also sign up for Amazon Prime, use the 30-day free trial, and then cancel after the sale, Business Insider reported. Walmart+ also offers paid deals through its Walmart+ Week, which makes offers available to + members first. Those deals will then be available to the public, according to Mashid. Target Circle Week is also exclusive to members, but it’s free to join. Target Circle members receive benefits year-round, such as a 1% bonus on non-RedCard purchases, 5% off during the member’s birthday month, and 5% off all Target purchases, according to the Target website.
