Overall, the average order value for orders placed via desktop is 70% higher than for orders placed via mobile devices. Quantum Metric said that many consumers abandon mobile shopping because the overall error rate on mobile devices is two to three times that of desktops. 39% of American consumers who shop through mobile terminals prefer brand applications, followed by browsers (37%) and social media platforms (13%). When it comes to mobile shopping, consumers' biggest demands are better security (39%), more reliable payments (35%) and higher application stability (36%).
