The number of counterfeit USPS stamps has increased sharply! eBay and Facebook are flooded with "stamp fakes"!

The United States Postal Service (USPS) processed nearly 1.3 billion holiday greeting cards during the holiday season, and due to the surge in package mail volume, the number of counterfeit stamps has also been rising, especially on platforms such as Facebook and eBay.

USPIS postal inspectors believe the vast majority of counterfeit stamps are produced outside the United States, and they are working with other government agencies to stop these shipments from entering the United States.

The most common of these "fakes" are American flag stamps, which counterfeiters often sell in bulk at 20% to 50% below the listed price, USPIS said. For example, the market price of a first-class forever stamp is 58 cents. However, some fake Facebook ads use "Black Friday Facebook" discounts as a gimmick to sell 100 stamps for $39.90, a 31% reduction from the cost of the genuine stamps.

eBay is also helpless against these counterfeit stamps because no matter how many times they delete fraudulent seller accounts or listings, there will always be a steady stream of "fakes" popping up.

In response, Facebook said it has deleted the illegal websites one by one and encouraged users to actively report any websites suspected of counterfeit advertisements; eBay said that all items on its platform, including stamps, will be provided with a refund guarantee, and they will also adopt more advanced technology to prevent the invasion of these "fakes".
