Over the years, sellers have been engaged in a battle of wits and courage with Amazon, and have seen stores being closed for copyright infringement and manipulation of reviews, but there is one type of violation that is rarely mentioned: violating Amazon’s Seller Code of Conduct.
What is the Seller Code of Conduct? Amazon has always been customer-centric and attaches great importance to buyers' shopping experience . Therefore, Amazon protects buyers' privacy very much. At the same time, it has very strict requirements for sellers and has formulated a set of seller codes of conduct to regulate sellers' behavior. Once a seller violates the rules, there is a risk of account suspension. The seller's code of conduct is very simple, mainly including 1. No fraudulent behavior is allowed; 2. It is prohibited to induce favorable comments, fake orders, maliciously give negative comments and other unfair behaviors; 3. The goods sold cannot be dangerous or threatening to the buyer. Some sellers may not take such rules seriously, but sellers often fall into this trap and cannot get their accounts back even after appealing. In fact, we have seen many real cases. There was once a seller’s account that was blocked. After investigation, we found out that the product sold by this seller was sand painting. In order to make it easier for users to use and to make the final presentation of the sand painting better, the seller included a syringe in the package for buyers to use for water injection. As a result, the buyer complained to Amazon without hesitation when he saw the syringe in the package. Amazon determined that the products sold by the seller were dangerous to buyers, and the seller’s account was blocked. The seller felt very aggrieved . He was clearly considering the buyer, but he didn't expect to be complained about. Fortunately, the seller regained his spirits and started writing a complaint letter. In the letter, the seller sincerely admitted his mistakes and apologized for the bad user experience he brought to the buyer. Then, the seller contacted the seller and apologized, and provided certain material compensation; trained all employees on Amazon's seller rules to strengthen employees' vigilance, and also recruited supervisors to prevent the same situation from happening again. After adopting this strategy, the seller's account was successfully recovered and the problem was successfully solved. Therefore, you should pay more attention to the seller's code of conduct, because the description of the seller's code of conduct is very simple and the definition is relatively vague. Once the platform or the buyer's main interface believes that you have violated the rules, you will have no way to defend yourself . However, even if your account is accidentally blocked due to violations, don’t be too discouraged. As long as it is reasonable, there is always a possibility of restoring your account.
