Share the pitfalls I encountered when selecting products on Amazon

Let me briefly talk about the pitfalls I encountered in product selection. I hope friends who are preparing to work in this category can help you.
Clothing categories:
Men's clothing, 20-30 dollars, the top small category is 30, the big category is 20,000, and the daily orders are more than 40. Maybe the ranking is a little inaccurate, but this is it. Advertising orders account for 50%, although ACOS is controlled at 30%. But the volume is not big, and the profit is still very small.

Advantages : The market is large, the competition is fierce, and the profit is 20%. It is easy to send for testing and is a product in urgent need.
Pitfalls : The return rate is high, which is a real pitfall. If the manufacturer is an export factory, it's ok. If not, at least 2 sizes larger. Overstocking. There are too many variants. Each color has at least 5 sizes. Spring and autumn models are all different. Most of the customers are women. The click-through rate is about 2.7%. Later, with more reviews, the click-through rate can reach 3%. The pictures are constantly optimized. Women have too high aesthetic requirements. Give me a chance to start over. I won't do this. There are too many variants and too many warehouses. 10 products can be divided into 4 warehouses.

If the size issue can be resolved and there is no need to worry about inventory backlog, this product would still be okay. After all, it is one of the best products I have ever tested.

Home Textiles:
It's textiles, 30-40 dollars, 30% profit, this is the most Buddhist product I have ever made, I just took over for 2 months, the score is 320. The warehouse is limited, and FBA goods cannot be shipped! Good-selling products cannot be shipped, and poor-selling products have redundant inventory. The account is in deficit.
Now the ranking of small categories is 1k, and that of large categories is 10w. 10 orders are placed per day.
Advertising orders accounted for 20%, CTR 1.7%, ACOS 9%.

This is a Buddhist way of doing things. Basically, I just optimized the listing. The product originally had 10 reviews, so I didn’t fake orders. I survived in the cracks. However, the demand was too high, so naturally there were more orders.

Advantages: Buyers will buy multiple products at a time. 30% of customers will buy 2-3. The demand is high. Anyway, my family does not use this product, but Americans do.
Pitfall : Pay attention to the pattern. This product has three styles. The best-selling ones are the solid-color ones. The striped ones are basically hard to sell. Maybe the market doesn't approve of them. It's best to do a good market research first. If you want to be very popular or embroider a mandarin duck playing in the water, then I can only wish you good luck.
