Not long ago, a patent protection case involving more than 800 Amazon stores caused widespread discussion in the cross-border circle.

It is understood that the plaintiff is Lovitedo, LLC, a big seller in the suitcase wheel cover category. It is a company headquartered in China that focuses on the research and development and sales of various multi-functional seats and has many registered patents.

The reason is that one of the hot-selling suitcase pulley covers on the market ( patent number US D1003604S) has been copied and counterfeited in large quantities, and these stores have attracted consumers to shop by selling at low prices and false advertising. Lovited directly filed an infringement lawsuit in the US court.

The case has been represented by Keener & Associates, PC, and the patent protection was initiated on May 15. The list of defendants in the case has been released, involving 831 stores. However, there has been no significant progress so far, and the plaintiff has not yet filed a TRO motion with the court.

It should be noted that this case not only involves appearance patents, but even if the products are not exactly the same, there will be infringement risks if the design concepts are the same. Sellers must check carefully to avoid infringement!
