Attention! Amazon's "flash sale price" calculation rules have changed

text
Recently, Amazon launched an innovative double-price verification mechanism for flash sales, and the price calculation method of its flash sales activities can be closer to the actual needs of consumers.

Amazon's new rules for calculating flash sales prices

Previously, Amazon’s 30-day lowest price ( T30D ) referred to the lowest selling price of a product in the past 30 days.
Now the new rule Net Price is the actual price paid after taking into account the coupon .
The difference between the calculation rules of T30D minimum price and net price :
  • Net price: The price after deducting the coupon amount from the selling price during the flash sale.

  • T30D lowest price: the lowest price after all promotions (including special discounts, coupons, direct price cuts, etc.) are added together in the past 30 days

Under the new rules, the new flash sale price must be the lower of the Net Promotion Price and the lowest price in history that includes coupon savings: Flash Sale Price = the lower of the lowest price in the past 30 days and the Net Price.
As long as there has been a lower transaction price or a coupon in the past 30 days, Amazon will calculate the flash sale discount based on the lower price.

A complete guide to calculating the logic of flash sale prices

(By default, there has been no price reduction in the past 30 days)
1. No coupons will be issued during the flash sale period:
Lowest price in the past 30 days = selling price x (1-special discount ratio) x (1-coupon ratio)
Net promotional price 3 flash sale price (applicable when no coupon is opened during the flash sale period)
The final flash sale price is the lower of the two.
2. Use coupons during flash sales:
Normal net price (lowest price) = selling price - coupon amount - special discount amount
Net price during flash sale = flash sale price - coupon amount
3. (Enable coupons and special discounts at the same time) Example:
The normal price of a certain product is $32.99. If you set a 30% coupon, the Prime members can enjoy a special discount price of $25.99.
On February 17, I participated in the flash sale. The price was $25.99 for the first two days, and the flash sale logo was not displayed on the third day. The flash sale background prompts that the highest promotional price is $18.19.
Note: When a product has both an exclusive discount and a coupon enabled, Amazon will first calculate the price after the exclusive discount, and then add the coupon discount to the exclusive discount price.
The calculation method of flash sale price is:
The lowest price in the past 30 days = $25.99x(1-30%)≈$18.19
Net sale price during flash sale: $25.99
The final flash sale price is the lower of the two, which is $18.19
