New FBA plan for next year! These fees can be waived!

The beginning of the year is a good time for everyone to open new sites and select new products during the off-season. Yesterday, I also analyzed the market of two new sites in a tweet (click here to review). Today, I will bring you good news about opening a new product.

Amazon New Selection program

The New Product Program is a new program that has been launched recently. Its content is simple and straightforward, which is to waive storage fees, removal and return fees for new FBA products. However, the exemption of these fees is conditional. Let me analyze one by one with you and show you how to take advantage of this.

New product plan content

After participating in the new product plan, only the first 500 parent ASINs created each year can enjoy the free places allocated by the plan. These 500 places will be refreshed on April 1st of each year.

If it is a qualified parent ASIN, then he can enjoy 90 days of free storage fee for the first 50 stocks (calculated from the time the FBA operation center receives the first piece of goods, the same below), and these 50 products can also enjoy 180 days of free removal .

And if this parent ASIN is in the categories of clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories, jewelry, luggage and watches , these 50 products can also enjoy a 120-day free return processing fee discount period .

Taking a rough look at the content, it is basically an upgraded version of the new product storage fee preferential policy launched by Amazon at the beginning of the year. I wonder if there are any sellers who still remember this policy.

It now seems that this policy has achieved quite good results. Amazon has even upgraded it to a new product plan and added several categories that are exempt from return processing fees. This is very attractive to sellers who want to launch new products.

If you are a seller who participated in the free storage fee policy in the first half of the year, you will be automatically added to the "New Product Program" . If you have never participated, you need to meet certain conditions and register yourself. You can only participate after being reviewed by Amazon. Let me tell you the participation conditions and some precautions.

Conditions for participating in the “New Product Program”

Similar to the policy in the first half of the year, there are several hard requirements:

1. IPI inventory performance is higher than 400 and is not subject to storage restrictions.

2. It must be a small or large standard size product.

3. It cannot be a media or second-hand product.

If these hard indicators are met, sellers need to register to participate in the program themselves in the background. Amazon will review your store conditions to decide whether to allow you to participate in the "New Product Program".

This plan will be officially implemented on April 1 next year . Sellers can now participate in the storage fee-free policy launched in the first half of the year. In comparison, there is actually no free return benefit. Other storage fee exemptions and removal fees are the same as the "New Product Plan".

The free storage fee policy has been extended to March 31 next year, and can be seamlessly connected with the "New Product Plan" . Based on the use of the free storage fee policy in the first half of the year, I will tell you a few points to note when participating in the "New Product Plan".

1. It doesn’t mean that goods exceeding 50 pieces cannot be shipped. You can send new product inventory at will. However, after exceeding 50 products, the remaining products will no longer enjoy the free policy.

2. Only the parent ASIN can participate in the event, and all the child ASINs under this parent ASIN share 50 free storage fee stocks . So everyone should try to release some new products with fewer variants, so that more stocks can be allocated to each variant.

3. The monthly storage fee exemption will be realized at the end of the month and will be waived when the storage fee is paid in the next month.

4. The European and Japanese sites will most likely also carry out this "new product plan" simultaneously, but there may be some modifications in the content. If the official releases any activities for these two sites later, I will disclose them to everyone in the group and on the official account in a timely manner.

The continued growth of new products is also an important indicator for Amazon to increase platform vitality and continue to attract consumers. Therefore, supporting new products is something Amazon has always done, and the Day One strategy is also giving new products more opportunities.

Obviously, this plan is to reduce the financial pressure on sellers to test new products and encourage them to develop new products more boldly. There is no additional cost for sellers, and it is good to participate in the plan to exempt some new product storage fees.
