Cross-border sales surged in Q3 against the trend! The secret to wealth in the post-epidemic era

Recently, Anker Innovations, a well-known retailer in the cross-border circle, released its Q3 financial report. The data showed that Anker's operating income in the third quarter of this year was 3.649 billion yuan, an increase of 19.46% over the same period last year!

In the context of the general downturn in cross-border e-commerce this year, Anker has maintained growth in revenue and profit for two consecutive quarters. In addition, in the first three quarters of this year, Anker Innovations invested heavily in R&D, up 40.10% year-on-year, accounting for 7.33% of the total operating income. Compared with the entire industry, this is also a relatively high level.


The Q3 financial report did not reveal further market data, so let's take a look at Anker's mid-year report. This year, Anker's fastest-growing products are charging products, including data cable chargers and power banks, with a year-on-year growth of 24.18%. It is hard to imagine that Anker can maintain such a growth rate in such a competitive red ocean category as charging. However, the smart innovation category and wireless audio category have shrunk, down 3.37% and 2.75% year-on-year respectively.


This advantage was further expanded in the third quarter. At Anker's flagship new product launch conference at the end of July, it launched a new gallium nitride material technology and seven flagship new products, including four chargers, two mobile power supplies and one socket. The sales brought by the new products after they were launched were very gratifying, which was also a huge driving force for the growth of Q3 turnover.


2022 is the third year after the epidemic. After the rapid decline of the epidemic dividends, many seemingly prosperous companies have encountered more or less problems. However, there are also top sellers like Yibai and Anker who have understood the new trends of Amazon after the epidemic and have adapted well, with sales increasing in various ways.
