Founded in Munich, eGym provides gyms with cloud-connected fitness equipment, as well as supporting cloud software and applications. Gym members and coaches need to install the eGym application to connect to fitness equipment. In 2016 , eGym completed a US$ 45 million Series C financing round, led by new investor HPE Growth Capital , with previous investors such as Highland Europe continuing to follow up.

In 2018 , eGym announced the completion of a $ 20 million Series D financing round led by Nokia Growth Partners (NGP Capital) , with participation from existing investors Highland Europe and HPE Growth Capital .
