8 months ago, I resigned from a large retail company after working there for 2 years. The reason was very strange: I was driven away by a newcomer. At the beginning, I was very sincere to her, smiling like a mother every day, and taught her all my experiences, but she didn't appreciate it. She was very cold all day long and didn't learn anything. Once when she made a mistake she even blamed me for not teaching her. I opened her notebook and showed her the records. I had clearly emphasized it at the time, but she just said lightly, "I forgot." In the end, I had to help her fix her mistake, but she still looked disdainful. Because of her special identity, she cannot be provoked, so I finally chose to retreat first! Later, I found a job in a small company. Apart from the boss, there were no other employees. I don't think I'm impulsive. There are three reasons why I chose this small company. Everyone says that 70% product and 30% operation. After working at Amazon for 2 years, I think it’s not an exaggeration to say that 80% product and 20% operation. In the usual promotion of new products, there are some products that you really can’t promote no matter what you do. Even if you spend a lot of time and energy to promote them, the effect will not be very good. But for good products, you don’t have to do anything and they will become popular naturally. The boss said that their products are sold in large quantities when others sell them, and if we sell them ourselves, we can update the functions or seek differentiation. In addition, there are many supplier resources that can purchase in small quantities, and the prices will be relatively low. The quality of the goods can be guaranteed, the price is relatively cheap, and you can also get the latest or improved models. The boss said that he knew from the beginning that cross-border e-commerce had a good development trend and registered a store very early, but his previous focus had always been on offline wholesale. The registered stores are also handed over to agents for operation, but the annual sales revenue is not as high as the agency operation fees. Later I considered hiring someone to do the job myself, but the interviewer saw that our company was relatively small, and generally there was no follow-up after the interview. Last year, I finally found an operations manager. He said he was very capable and had launched many popular products. He offered a base salary of 20,000 yuan + commission (70% to 30%). Then his means of operation was to run advertisements, earning about 200 US dollars a day. In 8 months, he lost almost 700,000 including inventory, and then he left. Now many accounts have been put on hold. I want to find someone to develop Amazon well and then develop other stores. I was deeply moved when I heard this. I felt that this person had an ideal but had not found the right person, and I happened to be the right person. There are no complicated relationships with colleagues, so you can concentrate on work and making money. Why did they publish an article to advise people not to make mistakes just 8 months after they were so enthusiastic at the beginning? There are several reasons. The boss doesn't understand operations. I knew this during the interview, but I didn't expect that he was only responsible for providing the product and didn't care about anything else afterwards. For example, I need to launch a product and give him feedback that the pictures provided by the factory are not useful and ask if he can take a few more detailed pictures. The boss said, "Is it not allowed? Others are using this picture to sell. Is it your operation problem?" I could only stay up late to look for pictures and edit them, but it still couldn't be saved. Also, every time we send FBA, I always tell you to try out the styles first to see which size and color sells well, and then we can send out more. But the boss said that it was pointless to send out dozens of pieces, so it would be better to send out more at one time to save trouble. If you try your best to save money for him, he will act like he has plenty of money. But when I occasionally put up an advertisement and spend a dozen dollars, or swipe an order, he feels particularly distressed, saying that the money is gone without a trace. The first thing the boss does when he comes to the office is to ask how many orders have been placed. In the case of new products that have only been on the shelves for two days and have received one or two orders, he will be very disappointed and say, "Why are there only two orders? Did you not do this seriously enough?" Then he added a few more sentences, saying that someone next door had a lot of orders again today and asked me when I would have the chance to let him go out and brag about it! Some listings sell well, with about 200 orders per day. He will then say that it is only 200 orders, while our offline batches always have tens of thousands of orders. How to put it? It’s like the kind of people who complain about the difficulty of doing business offline and want to focus on online business, but at the same time they complain that the number of orders online is not big enough. Of course, the boss doesn't care about anything. I'm paid to work for him, so it's my duty. Also, he requires orders when the products are put on the shelves. If I don't get enough orders, I'll be beaten down. I can understand that. But what I cannot accept is that after working in the company for 8 months, I haven't received any commission. At the beginning, we agreed on a base salary plus commission (70% of the profit for him and 30% for me). During this period, I asked about commission, but the boss always glossed over it. In March, I took over a half-dead US account and a European account that had nothing. Now the US site has a monthly sales of 100,000 US dollars, and the European site only has Germany, and the US sales are about 40,000-50,000 Euros. I am not a great person, and I cannot achieve annual sales of tens of millions, but I have tried my best to achieve millions! I have a clear conscience. I have decided that after this peak season, if my boss can no longer give me a reasonable commission, I will leave. But before leaving, I want to get back part of the commission that belongs to me (about 100,000 yuan). I would like to ask everyone, I haven’t signed a contract with my boss. If my boss doesn’t give it to me, how can I get the commission? |
