Good news! Amazon waives FBA storage fees , small sellers have a chance to receive hundreds of orders a day...

The overseas epidemic is raging, consumption in the European and American markets is sluggish, and the number of orders has plummeted. How can small sellers survive?

1
The order volume was cut in half but there was no way to replenish the stock

Last weekend, Amazon released the priority adjustment notices for FBA warehouse goods in the United States and Europe. Due to the changing situation of the epidemic, Amazon's operation center cannot determine the exact date of full resumption of operations. The priority processing policy for essential goods will still apply after April 5. Based on the previous notice, the platform will continue to focus its existing capabilities on the highest priority goods that consumers currently need, and will gradually add more goods to the list of essential goods.

That is to say, a few products will be exempted from the warehousing restrictions, and most non-essential products will continue to wait. But some sellers are already in a hurry.

Some sellers said that they have basically no orders since Amazon closed its warehouses. Some sellers have sold out of multiple products, with only a few links left to support them, and they have no goods to sell but no way to restock.

In order to survive, some sellers try to cross-border to save themselves, such as selling epidemic prevention materials, but reliable supply and platform price control have become restrictions. Only a few big sellers can survive this difficult period by selling epidemic prevention materials .

Amazon waives FBA storage fees in some countries

Perhaps with this in mind, Amazon announced yesterday that it will waive FBA storage fees for sellers who store products in some countries for two weeks.

Amazon said it will waive inventory storage fees for two weeks for products stored in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, and the Czech Republic. At the same time, Amazon is also making policy adjustments to proactively mitigate the impact of the epidemic crisis on the health of sellers' accounts.

Amazon also stated that this is an update and supplement to the previously announced policy of removing order delays and long-term storage fee exemptions, including:

Waive long-term storage fees for inventory stored in the U.S. and Europe through April 15;

Sellers who receive direct loans through Amazon Lending will have their repayments and interest suspended until April 30.

The April fee is waived for users who use Seller Account Management or the Launchpad program.

Although it has only been two weeks, it is good news for sellers.

How can a small seller get 100 orders a day?

In 2020, nothing is more important than survival for cross-border sellers. How to survive? Some industry insiders give several suggestions:

1. Explore reliable logistics methods;

2. Open up more sales channels;

3. Pay attention to product selection.

Needless to say, the first two are already in April, so let's talk about product selection. Today, relevant data shows that the sales of foreign home-use sports equipment have soared 8 times . As sales increase, prices have also risen. It is reported that the Daily Mail's "Sports Direct" has increased the price of sports equipment by 50%.

In addition, treadmills, resistance bands, etc. grew fastest in Spain, with the former's GMV (gross merchandise volume) increasing by 1159% month-on-month and the latter's GMV increasing by 500% month-on-month.

In addition to sports equipment, its peripheral products are also showing a rapid growth trend. For example, in the Italian market, the GMV of sportswear and sports underwear increased by 293% and 286% respectively month-on-month .

In addition, home entertainment products are also hot-selling. According to statistics, in Spain, the sales of LED TVs on an e-commerce platform increased by 2.1 times compared with last month. Coffee machines increased by 5.3 times. Electronic games increased by 31% in Germany, and toys increased by 10% in the United States, 36% in Germany, and 30% in Italy. Italians did not forget to do their hair while staying at home, and the GMV of hair straighteners increased by 308% month-on- month.

These are all directions for product selection, rather than just buying masks, forehead thermometers, hand sanitizers and other epidemic prevention supplies. After all, only a few sellers can really make money selling masks.

Many sellers feel that the above categories are dominated by big sellers, and small sellers may not even get a share of the profits if they enter. Although this may not sound good, it is the truth.
