The "Global Selling" business is a project launched by Amazon to meet the needs of Chinese sellers to expand overseas markets. It helps Chinese sellers sell their products to foreign consumers better through the Amazon online marketing platform. It includes providing guidance to sellers before opening a store, providing seller training regularly, and providing sellers with an overall "Amazon Logistics" solution. Registration information preparation

1. Register with an email address, preferably an overseas email address such as Outlook or Hotmail. QQ email is not recommended.

2. Credit cards that support US dollar payments (visa, etc.)

3. Business license information

Notice:

Must be issued by Mainland China, Hong Kong, or Taiwan

o Mainland China: Business License

o Hong Kong, China: Certificate of Incorporation and Business Registration Ordinance

Please provide color photos/scans, black and white copies are not acceptable, the pictures must be complete and clear

The business license in mainland China should be more than 60 days away from the expiration date, and the business registration regulations in Hong Kong should be more than 45 days away from the expiration date

4. A mobile phone number where the seller can be contacted

5. Two-step verification information, you need to provide a clean mobile phone number or download an app ( Authenticator App )

6. Shareholder information (only required in Europe)

7. Payment account, such as P card , WF , PingPong

8. The front and back of the legal person’s ID card

Notice:

The name on the ID card must be the same as the name of the legal representative on the business license

Must be issued by Mainland China, Hong Kong, or Taiwan

Registration

Open an account through the registration link sent by Amazon's investment manager.

Amazon Merchants Team Registration: KYC verification is required after registration, and operations can only begin after verification is passed

Brief analysis of the registration process

a. The registration process is different. Amazon investment team registration: prepare data → investment manager review, send registration link → publish products, investment manager review → start operation 2) Self-registration: online registration → publish products → start operation

b. Registration time varies. Amazon investment team registration: the investment team has limited staff, but too much information needs to be reviewed, so the entire registration process takes 1 week to 2 months. 2) Self-registration: easy to operate, automatic review, only takes 30 minutes to 2 days

1. Fill in your name, email address, and password to create a new user

2. Fill in the address, seller name, contact information, and verify the verification code by phone or SMS

3. Fill in the credit card number, expiration date, cardholder name, billing address, and set up the credit card

4. Conduct a US tax audit

Global store account

It must be registered in the name of the company, whether it is a mainland company or a Hong Kong company.

Global store opening is just the name of a project of Amazon. It does not mean that a store opened in this way will be a "global store". No matter what kind of account you register for an Amazon seller account, you must register for each site. For example, if you have registered for the North American site, you need to apply separately if you want to open a European site.

Self-registration

You can register as an individual or as a company (European site can only be registered in the name of a company). It should be noted that once you register, you cannot convert to a global store account, nor can you enjoy the advantages of global store, such as guidance from investment managers.

Project Progress

In 2012, Amazon China introduced the “Global Store” business and simultaneously started recruiting sellers in seven major sites including the United States, Canada, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy and Spain.

In 2013, Amazon China set up a dedicated team in Beijing to provide services for Chinese sellers’ “global store opening” ;

In 2014, the exclusive service team for Chinese sellers expanded to Shanghai and Guangzhou, and started recruiting sellers for Amazon Japan.

In February 2015, Amazon launched Chinese seller support services in the United States;

In March, Amazon established a dedicated "global store opening" consulting team in the European and Japanese markets;

In July, the recruitment of sellers for the Mexican site began, and the US and UK sites launched fully Chinese operating platforms. At the same time, in order to optimize logistics services and provide sellers with diversified cross-border logistics solutions, Amazon launched the "Amazon Global Freight" plan and a logistics pilot program for small and light commodities.

In November, Amazon's "Global Store" Chinese website was officially launched

In December 2015, we launched a rapid business development plan for the European market, providing brand registration services on Amazon's 10 major sites and launching a full Chinese operating platform for Amazon's German and Japanese sites.

In March 2016 , Amazon Japan launched the Chinese online chat function .

In May , the "Amazon Logistics Europe Integrated Service" was launched, with warehouses in one country and sales in five countries ;

In June , the " Buybox " support was cancelled for stores around the world , and the system will automatically allocate shopping carts instead. This policy applies to sites including North America, Europe, and Japan.

The Japanese website launched the Chinese online chat function;

In September, Amazon’s global store “ Manufacturing+ ” project was launched .  

In December 2016, Amazon launched the “ Amazon Business Seller Recruitment Program” for Chinese sellers .

Starting from May 2017, new sellers joining Amazon’s North American site will experience a new identity verification process.

In December 2017 , the Australian site went online.

In 2018, Amazon Global Selling India and Middle East stations have started to recruit investors. In the initial stage, they may only be open to large sellers and factory sellers, but other sellers can still enter through self-registration.

In December 2018, Amazon announced that it would add two new overseas sites for Chinese export e-commerce sellers - Amazon India (Amazon.in) and Amazon Middle East (Souq.com), providing new opportunities for their global layout.

On August 27, 2020, Amazon announced that the Swedish site is open for registration to global sellers. Sellers can register and open an account through (copy the following link to open in the browser) https://sell.amazon.se to prepare for the launch of the Swedish site.
