Can anyone participate in the Primeday flash sale for free? !

The main activity of Primeday is the LD flash sale on that day, which can enjoy huge traffic support and prime position display. Of course, the threshold for participation is not low. Not only are the product requirements very high, but there is also a registration fee of hundreds of dollars for each product.

The registration fee doesn’t seem to be very expensive, but because Primeday requires large discounts and sellers have profit margins, there are many sellers who give up participating in flash sales because of the hundreds of dollars.

This year, Amazon has prepared a number of free activities for sellers on Prime Day, so that sellers who do not want to pay the LD registration fee can also participate in Prime Day.

(Reminder: The submission of Prime exclusive discounts will end soon . After 5 days, new product uploads and modifications to submitted products will no longer be accepted. Sellers who have not submitted the flash sale must not miss this free event!

However, the effect of a free event with too many sellers and too little meat can be imagined. If the cost is within an acceptable range, I think most sellers will try their best to participate in Primeday's LD flash sale.

However, this year some people can participate in the Primeday flash sale for free, without having to pay a penny of the $500 registration fee.

01

Which sellers do not need to pay registration fee to participate in flash sales?

According to foreign media reports, during this year's Primeday, Amazon will waive the registration fee for Primeday flash sales for some grocery brands.

Are you jealous? But this is not free. Amazon naturally has special requirements for these lucky people who receive invitations to participate in the exemption of registration fees.

If sales of these products during Prime Day result in losses, the invited brands will face fines from Amazon.

An Amazon spokesperson said: "This is intended to allow brands to provide additional compensation for the profit margin difference on these products. If such compensation occurs, it will be based on the total number of non-profitable items sold during Prime Day."

If you don't make money, you ask the supplier to make up for it? If you make money, it's mine, and if you lose money, you have to make up for it. This wave of Amazon's operations really shocked me.

02

The small trend behind this wave of operations

The voices in the seller circle that are pessimistic about VC accounts have been around for a long time. In fact, VC has been in a half-dead state.

Although Amazon has stated that it will gradually allow suppliers to transition to the third-party seller market, Amazon is clearly unwilling to make a big move before Prime Day, so it will try to squeeze suppliers in the food category first.

Amazon itself considered many factors when choosing the food category.

Amazon can make a lot of profits from transportation and storage of products that are difficult to store and transport, such as chocolate.

At the same time, if Amazon's costs increase and there is no profit due to discounts set by suppliers or changes in transportation and warehousing costs (common in the food category), the supplier will be asked to pay.

This is not the first time that Amazon has forced suppliers/brand sellers to make changes for the sake of profits. In the first half of this year, Amazon restricted suppliers with low profit margins from placing advertisements and allocated advertising resources to products with higher profit margins and more profits.

Suppliers are also forced to improve their packaging to reduce transportation and storage costs, thereby ensuring Amazon's profit margins. They even stop purchasing goods from small-scale suppliers. Many signs indicate that this year is definitely a cold winter for VC suppliers.

Profit margin is the first indicator of survival. Although Amazon's methods are too overbearing, there is nothing wrong in sticking to profit margin.

We sellers also need to calculate and maintain our profit margins. Don't think of selling at a low price and then raising the price later to make money. I have prepared a high-profit Amazon operation skills package for everyone. Scan the QR code below to find me to get it~
