When it comes to freight forwarders, sellers probably all have a history of blood and tears .

Some sellers say that it is too difficult to find a good freight forwarder now, and they are thankful if they are not cheated. In everyone's eyes, freight forwarding business is continuous, commissions are lucrative, and there are even rumors that freight forwarders earn millions of yuan a month.

So, are freight forwarders really that popular ? After getting to know them in depth, you will find that the result is completely different from what you think.



A freight forwarder once said that there is a saying that has been circulating in the freight forwarding circle for a long time : If you want to die quickly, become a freight forwarder. The pay is low, the work is heavy, and the worries are numerous. Customers, customs, shipping companies, fleets, warehousing, customs declaration, and destination port agents are all gods. You have to be on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and you have the heart of selling cocaine, but you earn the money of selling cabbage.



Freight forwarders, also known as shipping agents , need to deal with people from different industries, including customers, customs, and workers, because they need to help customers find transportation channels.

Since each industry has its own rules, communication problems leading to conflicts are common.

Some customers believe that the logistics industry is omnipotent and that they do not need to worry about anything as long as they pay the logistics fees. Even if there are weather delays, customs seizures, or even the confiscation of commercial express shipments due to false reporting by the customers themselves, these delays have nothing to do with them. The logistics company must ensure that the goods are delivered to the destination.

In fact, the freight forwarding industry is under a lot of pressure (of course, the unreliable freight forwarders that everyone encounters are not included~). Since the freight forwarding industry belongs to the service industry, freight forwarding salesmen need to spend a lot of energy to discover and maintain customers.

This results in a lot of trivial matters and emergencies are difficult to deal with.

When a situation arises where financial claims are required, the freight forwarder, as an intermediary, is likely to be caught in the middle and suffer.

Freight forwarding salespeople with insufficient work experience are paid low wages and are likely to quit after working for a few months. And among the salespeople who stick with the job, how many of them are actually highly paid?

In fact, every industry is not easy, and freight forwarders and cross-border sellers are actually partners , so everyone needs to be more considerate of each other. After all, only freight forwarders will deliver goods to you no matter what the weather is like.



The love-hate relationship with freight forwarders is another matter. As a cross-border seller, the most important thing is actually sales volume.

If you want to increase sales, the first step is to get reviews, especially reviews from real people .


I have also communicated with many big sellers. The most common method they use to find reviews is to find buyers in Facebook groups. For example, sellers on the US site are more inclined to find local US teams. According to feedback from some sellers, the reviews posted by these teams have not been deleted yet.

However, I think that the safety of the review depends only on the safety of the buyer's account. Each buyer's account has a Review Ranking score. If their buyer account may leave a large number of reviews for a long time, not only will the quality be poor, but it will also be easy for Amazon to find out. At the very least, all reviews under the buyer's account will be deleted, and at the worst, the review permission will be restricted or the buyer's account will be blocked. Therefore, it is not without risks to ask these teams to review.


I also heard that there are Amazon staff lurking in many Facebook groups. If they see you post a review, you will be restricted from posting! The group may even be closed. In short, Facebook's review resources have been used up and cannot be used as a long-term strategy for finding reviews in the future.

Many sellers are complaining that it is so difficult to conduct reviews now, and they are afraid that Amazon will not be able to continue. I think Amazon is a platform that is unfathomable. As long as you have enough buyers/reviewer resources, you can still carve out a niche in this bloody sea.
