What is OfferUp? OfferUp Review

OfferUp is a C2C trading platform for second-hand goods in the United States, headquartered in Seattle, USA.

About OfferUp

OfferUp is a fast-growing second-hand trading platform. Users complete the transaction of idle items through the OfferUp APP. The application is known for its simple operation and high security. Users can be both buyers and sellers at the same time. They can publish sales information by uploading photos of the items for sale. The application will sort the buyers' bids from high to low. If someone is interested in the items for sale, they can use the built-in communication function of the program to communicate anonymously.

Operational Model

1. Browse a large number of items nearby

Furniture, electronics, cars, etc. are purchased from nearby.

2. Notify sellers immediately

Negotiate a price and set a time deal securely through the app.

3. View the seller’s profile

View ratings, badges, and transaction history.

4. Sell your own stuff

Just take a photo with your phone. It takes less than 30 seconds to post.

5. Join Millions of Others

On the largest mobile marketplace for local buyers and sellers.

Product Release

To publish a project, follow these steps:

1. Open the app and tap the Publish icon. Tap Take a photo, or choose from the photos you already have. Select photos. Use a cover photo that shows the entire item. Add at least 2 photos because items with more photos sell faster.

2. Enter a brief title including name, brand, year or size (if applicable) Spelling is important. If people can't search for it, the item may not be found.

3. Select the category of the item, for example, if you are selling a hammer, make sure it is in Tools and not in Clothing and Shoes. If you don't see the category you want, select the nearest category.

4. Set the conditions of the project and write a quick description:

Shoes: including brand and size;

Cars: including information such as year, make and model;

Furniture: including height, width and length.

5. Enter your price. Try to set a price that is the same or lower than similar items sold online.

6. Set the location of the item so that buyers can only see the approximate location of the item.

7. Choose whether you want to meet in person and/or sell and ship nationwide, and if you offer shipping, set the option to "Include Shipping".

Product Release Rules

·account number

1. Each user can only use one account.

2. Do not use invalid email addresses.

3. It is prohibited to use an account that impersonates someone else.

4. Please do not use simulators or third-party websites to post on OfferUp. You must be the owner of the product.

·picture

1. Posts without pictures, including those containing only text, are not allowed.

2. High-quality, well-lit photos are required.

3. Do not add extra stickers or texts to keep the photos clean.

4. Post images of actual items, not catalogs or photos.

Duplicate posts

Displaying multiple posts for the same item from the same seller can be confusing for buyers and difficult to manage for sellers. Even if you have multiple of the same item, list them one at a time. Do not post the same item in multiple listings or in multiple categories.

Publish location

Please list your exact geographic location so local buyers can arrange to meet you for pickup. If you want to sell products outside of your area, please list sales and shipping methods nationwide.

Title, description and price

The title and description should give buyers a clear, honest, and accurate picture so they can judge whether the item is what they are looking for.

Things to avoid:

1. Don’t add keywords or price points that are used to manipulate search results.

2. Do not link to the website or publish the URL.

3. Please do not provide personal information such as phone number or email address.

4. Do not ask for risky payment methods such as Western Union or Moneygram.
