“It is better to lose money than to run out of stock” is the business creed of many Amazon sellers. Because out of stock is a huge blow to the listing, once a link with hundreds of orders a day is out of stock, the sales volume may be immediately cut in half! This year, under pressure from warehouse capacity, Amazon has introduced "shipping restriction" policies several times, leaving sellers bitter and helpless. Some sellers have worked out ways to "break through the restrictions" several times, but what followed was a warning of account suspension! However, Amazon recently launched a new policy, which can be said to have given sellers hope! Yesterday, some sellers received a message from AGL (Amazon Global Logistics), which stated that some sellers were allowed to apply to break through the shipping restrictions!
The email mentioned: We are fully aware of the impact of FBA inventory restrictions and unstable logistics supply chains on sellers' European businesses. In order to help sellers expand their businesses more efficiently and stably in Q4, Amazon's global logistics team has launched a free backend lock function. After activating this function, you can apply to expand the FBA delivery quantity limit. After the expansion, sellers can create more ASINs in the background to maintain business operations, and can also enjoy the FBA warehouse lock service . This function is free to apply for and can be used for each shipment when creating a shipment. There is no mandatory requirement to use it, and it can be closed at any time. At the same time, the application for expanding the delivery quantity is also subject to the actual approval of the FBA team, which will be comprehensively judged based on store sales, IPI score, ASIN information and other dimensions. You can apply for it free of charge, but success is not guaranteed. If the seller wants to apply for this service, he needs to reply by email to confirm the activation. It can be activated after 3-5 working days. It can be closed at any time after activation. The number of places is limited. It is reported that Amazon has opened this feature to Europe and the United States. So is this feature practical? Some sellers pointed out: First , this is an exclusive benefit of AGL (Amazon Global Logistics) and is not necessarily applicable to sellers who use third-party logistics; second , the application to expand the delivery quantity will review multiple dimensions such as store sales, IPI score, ASIN information, etc., and not all sellers meet the standards; finally , this policy is only an expansion, not a cancellation of delivery restrictions, and may still not meet the seller’s delivery needs! Even so, it is still recommended that sellers who receive emails and meet the requirements apply as soon as possible. In this period, if you can ship one more batch of goods than your competitors, it will increase your chances of winning! In fact, this year, in addition to logistics, reviews are also a headache for sellers. Today, Amazon has also made an important change to the review section! It is reported that Amazon will shut down the customer review function from December 16. An Amazon spokesperson confirmed the news. Since yesterday, sellers have reported receiving an announcement from Amazon. The announcement stated that since few sellers use the comment function for buyer reviews, Amazon will stop this function on December 16, 2020.
Amazon said in the email: "Dear Seller, you received this email because you recently left a comment on a buyer review. Although reviews and feedback are important to our customers and sellers, the comment feature of customer reviews is rarely used. Therefore, we will cancel this feature on December 16, 2020. We are committed to your continued success and will innovate and develop other opportunities for you to connect with customers." Please note that the comments mentioned here refer to the "comment" function, which is equivalent to the seller's reply to the customer's review. Generally, when a negative review appears, the seller will clarify through "comment" or contact the negative reviewer. After leaving a negative review, the customer will also receive a corresponding email notification, so "comment" is one of the legal channels for contacting customers besides internal mail. To this day, many sellers still use the "comment" function when dealing with negative reviews, which is completely different from the functions or plans that were cancelled in the past (such as Giveaway). In Amazon's official external forum, local American sellers expressed great shock at the news. "This is so disappointing. I've always thought the "comment" feature was the best way to respond to stupid reviews. It's much more useful than "remove review"." At present, Amazon has not disclosed any further information except this email! Will the closure of the "comment" function affect you? |
