In addition, sellers should also note that for customers using Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail, Parcel Select, Parcel Return Service, USPS Retail Ground, and First-Class Package Service, if the package exceeds the maximum mailable size limit (the circumference of the package exceeds 130 inches), an additional fee of $100 will be charged. While this is bad news for some sellers, the USPS said: “These new rates will allow the Postal Service to remain competitive while providing the agency with needed revenue. Unlike other shippers, the Postal Service will not add surcharges for fuel, residential deliveries or Saturday routine deliveries.” |
