For Amazon sellers, account suspension is a daunting yet common occurrence. Even though the processes vary, the results are the same. Sellers have dealt with account suspensions due to false orders, small cards, and infringement, but the recent inexplicable large-scale related account suspensions have really caused sellers to suffer a huge loss! Recently, a seller revealed that all of his European sites were down, including six sites in Germany, France, Western Poland, the Netherlands, and Sweden... The reason was a violation of Article 3 of the Amazon Business Solutions Agreement and suspected account association! Amazon emailed: We have disabled a single account of yours for violating one of our policies. You must submit an appeal to reactivate the account in question. Please follow the instructions in the communication you received regarding this account... The seller believes that the account was blocked due to the Italian VAT connection, because the email address and invoice code added by his Italian VAT were both from an accountant, and one accountant may serve multiple sellers. Based on the current situation, sellers who employ the same accountant and fill in the relevant email addresses are likely to be high-risk. Sellers in this situation are advised to delete the accountant-related information as soon as possible! Amazon has not yet elaborated on the matter. What is giving sellers a headache now is how to prove that a store that has no connection with them has nothing to do with them? Regarding the account being blocked in this situation, some sellers said: There is basically no solution, it is difficult for the service provider to save it, and the cost of finding the related reasons is extremely high! But I personally think that this large-scale related account blocking does not rule out the possibility that Amazon misjudged the account. Previously, some sellers were misjudged to be related and submitted water, coal, electricity and gas bills, credit card bills, trademarks, and notarizations, and were eventually able to successfully appeal. I hope Amazon can explain this phenomenon as soon as possible, it is really too "nonsense"... On the one hand, Amazon is "punishing" sellers, and on the other hand, Amazon is also being "judged" by various governments. Not long ago, we reported that the European Union (Luxembourg National Data Protection Commission CNPD) issued a record fine of US$887 million (equivalent to RMB 5.7 billion) to Amazon. Recently, the United States has also filed an antitrust lawsuit against Amazon. This class action lawsuit accuses Amazon of damaging the interests of hundreds of thousands of businesses and hundreds of millions of consumers through its monopolistic behavior, while the company has earned billions of dollars from it.
The lawsuit pointed out that only sellers with the Prime badge can have the "Buy Box", which is almost the only channel for buyers to place orders. Amazon's behavior violated US antitrust laws. In addition, data shows that Amazon's logistics costs are 35% higher than those of its competitors such as FedEx, and using Amazon services will inevitably result in additional expenses. Related data: In the past 12 months, Amazon's advertising revenue reached $22.4 billion, a year-on-year increase of 65%... I can only say that my brother-in-law can be more merciful while making money. I hope to give small and medium-sized sellers more opportunities in the future. |
