Above are the quarterly search term trends for all categories, home and garden, and beauty products on Amazon.

From the above data, we can see that electronic products are evergreen , and consumers search for these products all year round. September is usually the time when Apple releases new phones, so the search volume for iPhone cases soared in the third quarter. Game consoles were very popular gifts in the fourth quarter, so the search volume was high.

Shower curtains and carpets were searched frequently in the first half of the year, indicating that consumers replace these products on an annual basis.
Humidifiers are especially popular during the winter months because the weather becomes drier.

In the fourth quarter, because of Christmas, the search volume for Christmas-related products is particularly high.
Among beauty products, essential oils are popular all year round.

Long tail keywords
Long-tail keywords are more specific and longer, and they make it clear what products users want. When users search using short-tail keywords or broad keywords, Amazon will display a variety of products related to them.
For example, if a user searches for Apple, Amazon will display a variety of products using the Apple keyword, but mainly Apple-branded products. If consumers enter more specific search terms, such as metal apple corer, Amazon will display highly related products.

Keyword optimization

1. The backend keyword is limited to 250 bytes, all in lowercase letters . If the keyword length exceeds the limit, it will not be indexed by Amazon.

2. Keywords can contain synonyms, spelling variations, abbreviations, etc., but should not contain spelling errors. Punctuation can be used, but it is not mandatory.
