On December 12, Amazon released an update to its brand name policy. Listings without brand registration cannot fill in brand names at will!

3. Review acquisition channels

Amazon has three official channels for obtaining reviews:

*Reviews shared by all sites

In January this year, Amazon confirmed that customer reviews from other sites can be displayed in the Review section of the listing, enabling review sharing across sites. This is good news for sellers on multiple sites.

*Vine Project

Currently, the Vine program is fully open. Professional sellers who have registered their brands on Amazon can apply for the Vine program in the background without having to find a service provider!

*Request a Review

Previously, Amazon launched a "Request a Review" function in the backend order section. Sellers will find this button after clicking on the order details, but this function is only available within 30 days.

Note: Amazon has already banned the inclusion of review request cards in product packaging to induce buyers to leave reviews, and even said that the seller's packaging may be opened for inspection. Once a seller is found to have violated the rules, the account may be directly blocked!

4. Requirements for new lithium batteries

New regulations: From January 1, 2020, battery manufacturers and distributors must provide a lithium battery test summary in accordance with the United Nations standard UN38.3 . This new global requirement applies to lithium batteries and products containing lithium batteries.

Friendly reminder: Previously, you could pass the audit by submitting an MSDS report or exemption form, but now you are required to submit a new test report! When sellers enter this category, remember to contact the supplier to find out whether they have this test report!

5. IPI index of FBA storage capacity

New rules: Starting from January 1, 2020, Amazon will increase the IPI score for storage restrictions to 400 (previously 350). Sellers who fail to meet the standards will have their storage capacity strictly limited, and if they exceed the capacity, they will be charged an excess capacity fee.

Therefore, Amazon now pays more attention to refined operations. Sellers must have reasonable plans for product selection and stocking, clear out slow-selling products in a timely manner, and improve inventory turnover.

6. Changes in logistics and commissions for the US site

Attention! There are major changes to Amazon's US logistics fees and sales commissions! The content mainly involves: 2020 US sales commission changes; 2020 US delivery fee changes; 2020 Amazon Logistics Monthly Warehousing, Labeling Service and Removal Order Fees Changes; 2020 Amazon Logistics Small and Light Program Fees Changes.

7. Two new sites

Amazon has launched two new sites: Singapore and the Netherlands . Sellers with resources and knowledge can apply to open them according to the situation!

For emerging sites, Amazon will be more open to sellers who have passed Brand Registration 2.0. So, brand is very important!!!

8. Counterfeiting infringement can lead to jail time
