Recently, Amazon announced a series of updates to its return policy. Amazon will no longer accept returns of products weighing more than 31.50 kg or with the longest side (including packaging) exceeding 175 cm in Germany, France, Italy, and Spain, and will require sellers to handle them themselves through the "Fulfillment by Seller" (FBM) model. Starting November 4, Amazon will offer UPS prepaid return label services to sellers of large and heavy items. Amazon UK has updated its "refund only" policy. From November 11, for self-delivered products with a value of more than 25 euros or 20 pounds (including VAT) , international sellers must provide a local UK return address or prepaid return label within four working days. If they fail to provide it, customers can get a refund without returning the goods when returning. The VTR (valid tracking rate) policy has also been updated. In order to improve consumers' shopping experience, Amazon uses "Valid Tracking Rate (VTR)" as a key indicator to measure the performance of self-delivery sellers to evaluate the frequency with which sellers use valid tracking codes in their orders. VTR refers to the percentage of the number of goods with valid tracking codes to the total number of goods in a specific 30-day period. The formula for calculating VTR is: VTR = (number of goods with valid tracking codes / total number of goods) × 100%. Self-delivery orders must provide visible tracking information to customers, and are no longer limited to logistics service providers that cooperate with Amazon. Sellers need to maintain at least 95% VTR to keep account indicators healthy and avoid restrictions on sales permissions. In response to the challenges of overseas warehouse returns and VTR reduction, the overseas warehouse system provides a comprehensive solution to address the problem of returns through digital management. The system supports API connection with more than 200 mainstream e-commerce platforms, and can quickly obtain product size and weight information through automatic SKU association to flexibly adapt to the platform's adjustments to large and heavy product policies. The system is able to provide FBA return and exchange solutions based on overseas warehouses, including processing FBA return and relabeling orders (Amazon removal), return and exchange inventory management, printing product labels and re-shipping to solve the "refund only" problem. The system supports visual tracking of online logistics tracks , and uses PDA devices and barcode technology to achieve digital warehouse and distribution management. PDA can take photos for quality inspection, record product status in real time, and combine with AIS positioning technology to ensure that goods can be tracked at every link in the cross-border logistics chain, thereby improving VTR.
