Good news! Amazon announced that it will not suspend seller accounts due to order performance for the time being!

▼Remember to watch until the end to get new skills!

Due to various reasons caused by the epidemic, sellers' already precarious sales have been made even worse.

So is there any good news?!

Now the editor wants to say: Cross-border sellers on the US site, we are getting better!

This week, many sellers reported that their stores’ best-selling products could be restocked. Subsequently, more and more sellers said that their products had been restocked, which is undoubtedly good news for sellers.

In addition, sellers on the US site have received another good news!

Amazon temporarily stops suspending accounts for order performance

Amazon US today released an announcement about temporarily stopping account suspension operations based on order performance.

Announcement content:

At Amazon, we are working hard to restore our order processing and delivery capabilities to normal operating levels. We have heard from everyone that many sellers are experiencing similar challenges in their business operations. To protect your account and ensure that these supply chain and delivery issues do not affect your account status, starting March 20, we stopped suspending selling accounts due to high cancellation rates or high late shipment rates. Starting now, we will also stop suspending selling accounts due to high order defect rates. These measures will last until May 15. We will continue to evaluate developments and will notify you if this period needs to be extended.

During this special period, it is especially important to make reliable promises to buyers. Therefore, we appreciate every effort you make to successfully deliver orders. At the same time, if you are unable to complete the delivery of orders, we recommend that you set your account to vacation status.

Let me highlight the key points:

1. Starting from March 20, even if the seller’s store has a high cancellation rate, a high late shipment rate, or a high order defect rate, the sales account will not be temporarily suspended.

2. The above measures will last until May 15th. If extended, we will notify you again.

3. Sellers who are unable to complete order delivery can set their accounts to vacation status.

Sellers' feedback

Because of reasons such as the inability to replenish inventory in time, extended logistics and delivery times, many buyers have refunded, given bad reviews, and complained, which has made sellers very worried about their order performance. Therefore, many US sellers were very surprised and grateful when they heard this news:

Seller A: Honestly, I never thought I would see this message on Amazon. I am really grateful for this message at this time.

Seller B: Thank you! We will do our best under the circumstances. It’s been a challenge after another and this news can provide some relief.

Seller C: We are sharing a seat on the same sinking ship. Now we have a chance to survive.

Seller D: It’s been a road filled with doom and gloom, but I can still see the light at the end of the tunnel.

While being happy, sellers should also stay sober, because the announcement did not mention that negative reviews due to cancellation and delayed delivery will be deleted. You still have to bear your own negative reviews! It is still unknown what the situation will be after May 15.

In addition, sellers also need to be vigilant: there are still sellers whose accounts have been suspended or closed for many other violations such as selling counterfeit goods or infringing trademarks. Therefore, sellers must always abide by the Amazon platform rules.

Store operation suggestions

Has the epidemic increased the difficulty of operation and made people feel overwhelmed? For this reason, the editor has collected some suggestions from sellers on store operations during the epidemic and made the following summary:

1. Set up an extension of the delivery time in the background to reduce the impact of delayed delivery of orders;

2. Optimize product selection and readjust strategies based on big data and market demand during the epidemic;

3. Arrange product pictures and copywriting, and combine product advantages and keyword optimization to achieve efficient traffic diversion;

4. Build your own brand through social media, off-site marketing, etc.

5. In addition to Amazon, you can also start your own website sales model to reduce risks.

Regarding the product selection and market demand investigation mentioned in the second point

The editor must recommend a magical tool to everyone

A seller said after using it: I had exported the data before and used a table to analyze the ranking increase and decrease. Now this function allows me to save a step. I give a thumbs up to this function!

I hope this function can help you improve your efficiency in product selection and operation. At the same time, the hot search rankings in Europe and Japan are being prepared, so stay tuned.

I don’t know what you think of Amazon’s move, or if you have any additional suggestions for operations during the epidemic, please leave a message in the comment section to discuss~
