Amazon's second quarter revenue was lower than expected! Is there a blacklist of job seekers in the cross-border circle?

Amazon's second quarter revenue was lower than expected! Is there a blacklist of job seekers in the cross-border circle?

It is learned that Amazon released its second quarter 2021 financial report on July 29 local time. The financial report shows that Amazon's net sales in the second quarter were US$113.08 billion, a year-on-year increase of 27%; net profit was US$7.778 billion, a year-on-year increase of 48%.

This is the third consecutive quarter that Amazon's revenue has exceeded the $100 billion mark, but it is still lower than the $115.2 billion originally predicted by Wall Street analysts. The data directly shows that Amazon's operating profit margin has dropped by 1.2% from before, and the previously soaring profit momentum is showing signs of slowing down.

Earlier this month, the e-commerce giant Amazon officially completed its transition, with founder Bezos stepping down as CEO and Jassy taking over as the new leader. However, the second quarter results were slightly less than expected.

However, such achievements are of course inseparable from the enthusiastic "harvesting" of a group of "leeks". After reviewing Amazon's performance, a blacklist of cross-border practitioners has also sparked heated discussions among many sellers.

It is learned that a seller recently leaked a blacklist of cross-border practitioners on the forum . The table lists in detail the regions, positions and specific reasons for these practitioners being blacklisted.

  The picture comes from Zhiwubuyan

The seller said that there had been a list of cross-border companies and logistics companies that were widely circulated in the industry, and some companies later sent lawyers letters to file lawsuits. However, it is currently impossible to prove whether this blacklist is a spoof, so the seller can't help but have the following questions:

1. What will happen if the number of people on the blacklist continues to increase and everyone is unable to come together to file a complaint?
2. This list is too arbitrary. If it is retaliation from the former company and the list was added randomly, is there no countermeasure?
3. How should the quality of industry practitioners be verified during the interview before they are hired?
4. If you are indeed slandered, how can you prove your innocence?

In this regard, one seller said frankly that the previous company blacklist was more of a job seeker's own opinion of a company, providing a reference for other job seekers. However, this blacklist of practitioners is completely based on random thoughts extended from personal subjective emotions, which not only destroys personal job hunting, but also affects the job market of the industry.

Some sellers also believe that most of these blacklists are based on HR background checks and spread among HR circles. If it is really a blacklist, there must be a submitting company, submission date, objective reasons, etc., rather than such strong subjective conjecture.

In fact, it can be seen from this table that, except for some extremely bad cases, most of the reasons for blacklisting are too generalized, deliberately exaggerated, and lack actual evidence, so there is also suspicion of malicious retaliation.

In the past, job seekers have been threatened by their bosses to block them during interviews. If this trend continues, it will undoubtedly have a negative impact on the job-seeking environment.
