According to reports, two employees of a cross-border company in Xi'an deliberately retaliated after leaving the company, stole accounts and changed the price of some products to 10% off, causing losses of more than 6 million yuan.
 
 
The two suspects had previously worked as Amazon operations managers for a cross-border company, but were fired for violating regulations. As a result, they developed a revenge mentality and used the original data they had while on the job to modify the store passwords and bank cards used to collect payments in order to make illegal profits.
 
Relevant company officials stated that the two suspects tampered with or even removed the store listings after stealing the accounts, and sold the store products at low prices one after another. Products with an original price of US$90 were changed to US$9.9, causing the company to suffer a loss of up to 6 million yuan.
 
 
The negative consequences of this behavior are not limited to this. Selling products at low prices, which leads to a surge in sales in the short term, may be judged by Amazon as suspected malicious competition and face the risk of store closure.
 
At present, the two suspects have been taken into criminal custody by the local police station on suspicion of illegally obtaining data from computer information systems .
 
 
It is learned that according to the clear provisions of Article 285, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Law, whoever commits this crime shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years or criminal detention, and shall be fined or fined alone; if the circumstances are particularly serious, he shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than three years but not more than seven years and shall be fined.
 
The two not only made fun of the former company's store and tampered with account passwords, payment accounts and other information, but also caused losses of hundreds of thousands of yuan. It is foreseeable that the two may face severe punishment from the law.
 
Returning to the essence of the incident, in fact, in major forums, there are often many complaints about Amazon operations and conflicts with the company, such as differences in salary system, KPI indicators, operation strategy, etc. However, rational and effective communication is the key to solving the problem. Even if the two sides part ways due to irreconcilable conflicts, they should not act impulsively and use some illegal means.

According to customer feedback, although Amazon's homepage is still running and the loading of various pages is not a big problem, reviews and customer questions still appear at the bottom of the page, but clicking on any search result or recommendation will display a listing page error and the product's detailed information cannot be viewed.
 
 
Amazon officials also said that it is investigating the bug and asked buyers to inform them of the specific problem without revealing their account details so that they can investigate.
 
A seller revealed that as of 02:44:14 on June 14, 2022, the Amazon mobile client page has been restored, but the computer client is still buggy. Some customers also said that some listings loaded well, with product information, pricing, etc. displayed, but other pages were completely blank.
