Pexels was founded in 2014 by Bruno Joseph and Ingo Joseph. Daniel Frese joined Pexels in 2015 to manage the platform together with the two founders.

Pexels currently has more than 40,000 free photos covering more than 20 categories including still life, portraits, work scenes, nature, etc., and at least 3,000 high-resolution photos are added every month. Some of them are carefully reproduced from famous free websites that also comply with the CC0 agreement, including Pixabay, Gratisography, Little Visuals, etc.

Image information

All pictures on Pexels will display detailed information, such as the camera model, aperture, focal length, ISO, image resolution, etc. The quality of high-definition pictures is very good.
