Sprii's founder Sarah is British and was once a financial consultant for Deloitte UK and Deloitte Middle East. She founded Sprii in 2014. Sprii has received a total of US$4.1 million in financing, and its official website claims that it is the largest maternal and infant e-commerce platform in the UAE.

In 2017, Sarah was the champion of Alibaba's "Battle of the Titans" Entrepreneurship Competition in the Middle East.
