Brandwatch sells three different products: Analytics, Audience, and Vizia

The tool works with blogs, news sites, forums, videos, comments, images and social networks like Twitter and Facebook.

The company has opened additional offices outside the UK in Stuttgart, Berlin, New York, San Francisco, Singapore, Paris and Sydney.

Audience Analysis

The Audiences feature allows sellers to identify and analyze the brand's core audience through demographic data, interests, location, occupation, etc. Sellers can also use this data to understand how competitors' audiences compare to explore more targeted marketing opportunities.

Analytics Features

Analytics is the star feature of Brandwatch, which can track everything from social sites to review sites, and you can also add custom tracking functions. Although the data is real-time, sellers can also view year-on-year trends. In addition, sellers can also extract information through more than 50 filters, create their own rules to integrate data when necessary, and even customize user sentiment algorithms.

Package Fee

This tool offers three types of annual fee charging methods. Except for the professional account which charges $800/month, you need to contact the official for quotes for the intermediate and advanced enterprise accounts.

Financing

In November 2010, it received US$1.5 million in Series A funding from Durrants.

In March 2012, the company received $6 million in venture capital from Nota Capital.

In May 2014, Brandwatch raised $22 million in a new round of financing led by Highland Capital.

In October 2015, Brandwatch received US$33 million in Series C funding, led by Partech Venture, with participation from Highland Capital Partners Europe and Nauta Capital.

Development History

Brandwatch was founded in 2005 by CEO Giles Palmer in Brighton, England.

In March 2014, Brandwatch partnered with GNIP, a social media API company, to launch a new application that allows users to access additional social data and analytics.

In September 2015, Brandwatch launched its French website.

In 2017, Brandwatch acquired content marketing platform BuzzSumo.

In 2018, Brandwatch announced a merger with its largest competitor, Crimson Hexagon. The new company will continue to be known as Brandwatch. The merger officially closed on November 1, 2018.
