USPS warns you that packages to the UK may be delayed!

It is learned that according to foreign media reports, USPS recently issued a reminder that due to the Royal Postal workers will go on strike in the next few weeks, USPS shipments to the UK may be delayed.

It is reported that about 115,000 Royal Mail workers will strike in the next 18 days, and the Communication Workers Union (CWU) representing them has also called on express delivery companies such as USPS that rely on Royal Mail to deliver parcels in the UK to strike as well.

USPS said that due to the strike, there will be a backlog of mail and parcels sent to UK customs. Because it may take several days for workers to collect all customs clearance items from the UK customs agency. Originally, with the arrival of the holiday season, the volume of packages will surge. Now, coupled with the strike of British workers, there will be further delays in the delivery of items in the UK.

Royal Mail workers will reportedly strike on the following dates:

  • October 20
  • October 25
  • November 2
  • November 3
  • November 4
  • November 8
  • November 9
  • November 10
  • November 14
  • November 15
  • November 16
  • November 23
  • November 24
  • November 25
  • November 28
  • November 30
  • December 1
  • December 2

The USPS said that the Royal Mail has announced that it will reduce 10,000 workers in the UK to deliver goods for the USPS, which means that the USPS's international mail services, including express delivery services, will be greatly affected.

Finally, USPS reminds US sellers and UK customers that due to the possibility of delays in shipments to the UK, it will provide other shipping options. In the coming weeks, USPS will continue to monitor the situation of the Royal Mail and issue announcements to inform customers in a timely manner.
