Dafeng Guo, co-founder and CTO of Strikingly, previously worked at Morgan Stanley and graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Strikingly Features

"Shangxianle" provides a variety of basic website templates and functional blocks to choose from (such as binding custom domain names, adding online trading malls, managing article permissions, viewing access data, etc.). After the user selects a template, enter the content, and then "go online with one click". Generally, a company's official website, product homepage, online mall or personal brand website can be created within 10 minutes, and the final web page is a single-page design similar to the Apple official website. After the website is built, users can also edit and modify the web page at any time. Shangxianle stated in public product information that using Shangxianle to build a website can save at least 80% of the cost of building and maintaining the website. The full monitoring and elastic cluster technology it adopts also provide security for the user's website data.

Strikingly Target Users

Strikingly's target users are small businesses, restaurants and other independent service providers (such as tutors and accountants) who may not have any website building experience, allowing such users to reach potential users through the Internet.

Strikingly has four packages, with the free version giving you 5 GB of bandwidth per month and up to 25 product listings. If you go with the free option, you can’t remove the Strikingly name from your site, but you can publish an unlimited number of free sites, and you get free 24/7 support from their “happiness officers”!

Strikingly History

In 2013, Strikingly became the world's first team incubated by Y Combinator (hereinafter referred to as YC).

In 2015, Strikingly version 4.0 was launched.

In April 2016, Strikingly’s Chinese website was officially launched and named “Shangxianle”. Customers only need 15 minutes to build a website page.

Strikingly Funding

In April 2013, Strikingly received a seed round of US$1.5 million from Sinovation Ventures, SV Angel, Index Venture, and Infinity Venture Partners.

In December 2016, it received Pre-A round of financing from Guoke Jiahe.

In June 2017, Strikingly received US$6 million in Series A financing, led by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, with angel investors IVP, Y Combinator, Sinovation Ventures, and TEEC continuing to follow up. The funds will be used to promote expansion in the Chinese market.

In August 2018, Strikingly officially announced that it had received US$10 million in Series A+ financing, led by Cathay Capital and followed by Series A investment institution Guoke Jiahe.
