Development History

-In 1998, Jeff Schlicht founded Auctiva.

-The first version of Auctiva desktop software was called Auctiva Poster.

-In the spring of 2000, Auctiva acquired eBud, which was the leading application for auction management at the time.

- In order to cover the entire eBay marketplace worldwide, Auctiva transitioned from desktop software to a web-based auction management environment. The first phase of this new version was released to the public on June 23, 2005.

- Alibaba just acquired Auctiva in August 2010. Auctiva was integrated into Alibaba's AliExpress, allowing users to place product listings on eBay.

-In 2014, Auctiva participated in the development of a new e-commerce platform called 11 Main together with Alibaba.

- In June 2015, 11 Main was dissolved and Auctiva became part of OSP along with OpenSky, Vendio and Storenvy. OSP is backed by Alibaba Group.

In March 2017, Auctiva released a message to eBay users, announcing a redesign of the image tool for cross-promotional listings, and the new version will not rely on Active Content.
