What is Video in search? Video in search review

Video in search is a new video ad launched by Amazon, referred to as VIS, which encourages customers to consider your products by telling your brand story on Amazon websites and devices or in a trusted environment on the web.



Video Requirements


Video ads must be 90 seconds or less and also include audio.


Placement


The ads appear in the drop-down fold of search results, such as Amazon and IMDB, and on Amazon-exclusive devices like Fire TV and Fire tablets, as well as third-party sites and apps. These results can link to product pages or directly to Amazon stores or customized landing pages. For now, only people searching Amazon on iPhone or iPad will see these ads.


cost


1. Independent placement: The minimum investment for Video in search ads is $35,000 and can be used until the end of 2018.


2. Bind with display advertising AAP: USD 5,000 for test delivery.


Billing Model


Each independent user who views the video once or multiple times will be charged $0.05 (this billing method will last until the end of 2018).


How to participate


VIS requires registration and review, and the number of places is limited. Sellers who combine AAP display ads will be given priority.


Data Report


Will be sent to you monthly by your Display Account Manager.


Data includes: Views, Clicks, CTR, Cideo completion rate, Average view time and other indicators


Indicators for the buying phase will be added in the future.


Features


1. VIS ads only appear on mobile apps;


2. The VIS ad landing page can be the ASIN page or the store page;


3. VIS ads are indexed by keywords (Exact match keywords). A VIS ad supports up to 30 keywords as Search Terms.


4. VIS is priced based on the number of views;


5. VIS is currently an invitation-only program and requires a deposit of US$35,000 as annual advertising fee for 2018;


6. A VIS advertisement costs US$5,000 and can last for about 2-3 months;


7. The length of VIS ads can be from 2 seconds to 2 minutes, and the ideal length is 15 seconds to 30 seconds. The playback is muted by default, and the customer needs to turn up the volume manually.
