Can I quit my job and work for Amazon without any cross-border e-commerce experience? What are the pitfalls?

Can I quit my job and work for Amazon without any cross-border e-commerce experience? What are the pitfalls?

The cross-border industry is actually quite good. It is indeed a sunrise industry and there is nothing wrong with the overall trend.
But my advice is that newcomers should "never" quit their jobs rashly, as it is not easy to do so.

First, the extremely high elimination rate

This starts with my previous experience. In order to learn about Amazon, I took a lot of courses. In one of them, I paid to join a large group of nearly 500 people. Because of the payment, the quality was relatively high, the atmosphere in the group was very active, the instructor was very patient, and there were a group of like-minded friends.
I am also quite active in the group, and gradually I have made many friends who have a similar starting point to me. We will chat privately with each other whenever we have time and help each other.
At the beginning, everyone was very ambitious, but after half a year, most of my friends quit. Well... After all, the process of learning and practicing is still very hard. Even if you are given a martial arts secret book, you still have to practice hard. I think the most important thing to do well in cross-border business is to have some patience and be able to sit still. Otherwise, it is easy to give up when faced with the more detailed work of making tables, data, and optimization.
I usually have about a dozen friends who chat with me. At the end of the year, only 4-5 of my friends are still sticking to it, and the elimination rate is at least 60%. Among those who are still doing it, two friends have a monthly net profit of 20,000 to 30,000 yuan, the rest have about 10,000 yuan, and one has a few thousand yuan.

Second, it requires a lot of effort.

The friend who just mentioned that he earns 30,000 yuan a month used to work in a relatively good Internet company, with a monthly salary of more than 10,000 yuan. The work pressure was still quite high, and he was very tired every day at work. But he still used all his free time to work on Amazon, and spent 4-5 hours a day on cross-border business. In this state, he gradually achieved results step by step.
Because of the company, I usually slack off at work. Although I slack off at work, I never slack off in cross-border, and I have to invest 5 to 6 hours every day. After get off work, I study and update new products. Basically, I go to bed after 12 to 1 o'clock every day. It was only after half a year that I made a big progress and increased my income.
So, if you are a newbie, how can you dare to quit your job easily without any living security?

Third, income is unstable.

Many people see Amazon as a place with high profits and a large platform. However, there are many rules, which change quickly and there are many minefields. It is very likely that the business will just start to pick up, but it will not continue due to various problems, most commonly product infringement, performance indicators, rule changes, competitors' spoofs, etc.
Although all of the above factors will not kill you all at once, solving these problems will disrupt your operational rhythm and planning.
Because some situations are controllable, but many are uncontrollable. We can only adapt to platform rules in a timely manner, strengthen the management of potential operational risks, and continue to learn.
The reason why you don't quit your job to work full-time at Amazon is to leave a way out before you become stable, in case you are caught off guard by an unexpected event.

Under what circumstances can one work in cross-border business full-time?

I think that after a lot of learning and good practice in the early stage, and having a certain understanding of Amazon's global rules, the most important thing is that it is best to have an income of 10,000 yuan for three consecutive months, and at the same time you have a certain amount of savings! You can choose to resign.
I am not very smart, this process took me nearly half a year! Of course, there are many people who can reach this level in two or three months.
Recently, many friends have added me, and the question they often ask is: Can you make money by selling on Amazon? Can you guarantee the results?
In fact, I understand the mentality of friends who raise these questions. When I just started my business and studied, I was also nervous and anxious. Naturally, I would think of these questions, and asking them is also responsible for myself.
But in this kind of situation, no matter which industry, can anyone dare to guarantee the results?
If you encounter it, congratulations, you have encountered a shiny sickle.
Learning is something that depends on both parties, and the key lies in you. The master can lead you to the door, but the practice is up to you. No matter how powerful the master is, if you don't take action, it's useless. It's like the same teacher teaching students, some students can get into Tsinghua University and Peking University, while some can't even get into an ordinary university. The same principle applies.
The person who guides you can give you all the methods and skills with due diligence. If you can obey and persist, you will definitely be able to surpass more than 80% of people.
I hope the above information will be helpful to newcomers in cross-border business.
