It is learned that BigCommerce, a global open SaaS e-commerce platform, announced that it will expand its European business from the UK to the Netherlands, France and Italy in the future. The expansion comes less than a year after BigCommerce’s initial public offering (IPO) in August 2020, and marks the first step in BigCommerce’s new growth phase three years after it opened an office in London.
BigCommerce said the expansion will create new positions in France, Italy, and the Netherlands and work directly with companies in the region.
Jim Herbert, vice president and general manager of BigCommerce for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said that BigCommerce currently serves more than 60,000 merchants worldwide, and in the future it will establish a strong local partner network across Europe and within their respective markets to ensure that merchants can freely work with technology and agency partners that best suit their specific business needs.
