In order to regain market share, Walmart has reached a cooperation with Canadian home retailer Furniture.ca!

According to foreign media reports, Walmart Canada recently announced a partnership with Furniture.ca, the e-commerce division of furniture retailer Leon's, to bring more than 2,000 new furniture and home decorations to users. This move will help Walmart increase its share in the home furnishing market and compete with Amazon.

According to reports, Walmart has occupied less than 9% of the furniture and home furnishings market for two consecutive quarters (Q1 and Q2), while Amazon's share of the market once soared to more than 17%. The cooperation with Furniture.ca may help Walmart regain market share.

Walmart has created a virtual store for Furniture.ca, where users can browse and purchase after clicking. In addition, Furniture.ca will provide last-mile delivery services. In addition, although it currently only provides furniture, Furniture.ca will expand its product categories to include home appliances or other electronic products in the coming months.

The reason for the expansion of Furniture.ca's product categories is that in addition to Furniture.ca, Leon's also operates three online sales websites: leons.ca (home appliances), thebrick (furniture) and appliancecanada (electronics). Leon's is the largest home furnishings retailer in Canada.

Dan Farmer, vice president of Walmart Canada's marketing department, said that the addition of Furniture.ca has increased the number of furniture items offered by Walmart to more than 35 million pieces, which will attract a wider audience and bring benefits to Walmart.
