Unaffected by controversy! Amazon vigorously promotes Key delivery system in the United States

Amazon is promoting its Key for Business system in the United States. Delivery agents can enter commercial and apartment buildings and open the user's front door to place the package inside. The system is designed to prevent theft of packages left outside homes and offices and speed up delivery.

Although Key for Business is designed to be convenient, there has been controversy over its security and user privacy, which Amazon is working to address.

It is reported that in 2017, Amazon first launched the "Key for Amazon" service, which enables delivery drivers to open compatible garage doors and provide fast and convenient delivery services that are safe and do not require you to stay at home. In 2019, Amazon improved this service again, called "Key for Business", which can provide personalized temporary access to delivery persons without disturbing secretaries, residents or business owners.

Ashkan Soltani, a privacy researcher and former senior technology adviser to President Barack Obama, said the ability for criminals to hack into Key for Amazon through internet-connected devices would be a huge security hole for many residents and could put thousands of homes at risk.

It is learned that Amazon has been taking some incentives to promote more people to install the system, such as free installation of equipment, providing Amazon gift cards, cooperating with locksmiths, etc., but there are still many people who think that this system is too risky.
