3,300 units sold! Domestic cosmetic mirrors are urgently recalled by CPSC!

According to foreign media reports, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of 3,300 makeup mirrors produced in China on March 16. The reason for the recall is that the bulb parts will be loose, which may cause current or product overheating, resulting in fire and electric shock hazards.

The recall reportedly involves the following styles: round, rectangular, tilted, and tabletop. The round mirror measures 32 inches in diameter and has 20 G-type 5W incandescent lamps; the rectangular mirror is about 40 inches high and 30 inches wide, with 20 G-type 1W LEDs; the tilted illuminated mirror is about 72 inches high and 36 inches wide, with 32 G-type 1W LEDs or 32 5W incandescent lamps. The dressing table mirror measures 40 inches high x 30 inches wide, with 20 G-type 1W LEDs or 20 5W incandescent lamps. The product's SKU number and production date are printed on a label on the back of the mirror. The following is a product image:

It is reported that all mirrors with production date codes before February 2021 will be recalled. The product SKUs are as follows:

It is reported that these makeup mirrors are all "Made in China" and imported into North America by retailer RH US LLC. The mirrors were sold in RH physical stores and on its website https://rhteen.rh.com/ from September 2015 to February 2022, with prices ranging from US$47 to US$1,313.

RH has received three reports of fires involving electrical switches or wires, and 60 reports of electrical problems including melting, smoking, sparking, short circuits, and burst or shattered bulbs. There have been no reports of injuries or property damage.

CPSC recommends that purchasers immediately stop using the recalled mirrors, contact RH, and ship the product back for a full refund or a free replacement mirror with postage paid by RH. Meanwhile, RH is actively contacting purchasers.
