US online sales increased 13.6% year-on-year in November! Grocery category is in high demand!

According to Adobe statistics, US consumers spent as much as $114 billion online in November this year, a year-on-year increase of 13.6%. Among them, grocery sales increased to $8.6 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6%, making this category the main spending target for US consumers during the peak season.

According to the survey, nearly 69 million American households bought groceries online in November, a 15% year-on-year increase. Among them, people aged 30 to 44 made the most purchases, accounting for one-third. In the past year, this group's consumer spending on groceries has increased by more than 25%.

According to the report, in November, Pickup's dominated the US grocery market, with sales increasing by 29% year-on-year, of which e-commerce sales increased by more than 6%. Due to the epidemic, sales of curbside pickup and self-pickup increased, but sales of home delivery fell by 27%.

In addition, Walmart and Target also have an important position in the grocery market, with their share increasing from 4% in October to more than 9% in November, with the growth mainly driven by increased repeat purchase rates.

Understand that the gap between Walmart and Target and Pickup's is that Pickup's has an increasing number of new customers, while Walmart and Target are facing serious customer churn problems.
